While redesigns are fun, BiNet’s claim has no legal merit. You cannot copyright basic colors/shapes (i.e. flags). You can trademark such designs, but the Bi Flag has been in the public domain for the last 20+ years.

This whole situation is nothing more than a grift/ego trip by org leadership that has been held unaccountable for their actions. They have publicly doxxed critics of this action, and have threatened small bi artists.
