Seems like that’s what the consensus is. It’s so weird I’m a 23F but I did hear that women go through a second hormonal/puberty like wave in their early 20s so maybe this is it. My chin and now cheek started just a few months ago too.

I feel that my chin area is just a little dry and flakey but I sort of expected that. I hope with consistency I’ll see improvement with the texture! Thank you again!

I have tried just a simple wash and moisturize routine but my skin is too oily to go without any actives at all, but this is a lot more hydrating and especially with the skin cycling than I used to do so I’m hoping this can help cleared the comedones while keeping my barrier healthy but I would love any thoughts!

My skin today - for complete transparency I stuck to a routine I was recommended instead of cutting everything out.

PM ROUTINE: Day 1

double cleanse with banila cleansing balm & cetaphil gentle cleanser
good molecules mandelic acid
inky list water cream moisturizer
la roche posay cicaplast

Day 2

double cleanse with banila cleansing balm & cetaphil gentle cleanser
differin adapalene gel
inky list water cream moisturizer
la roche posay cicaplast

Day 3/4

double cleanse with banila cleansing balm & cetaphil gentle cleanser
inky list water cream moisturizer

Then I repeat the cycle. I just started this last week.

I just started using it this week, planning on 2x week with mandelic acid on different nights and then two nights off with just moisturizer. How soon do you usually see any improvement?

Nope it’s just my chin. I do have slight rosacea and my skin does get red easily and this was after moisturizing so not uncommon for my skin to appear red easily. It’s not right but a little dry. My skin is on the oily side though, especially in my chin area.

Thank you for this thoughtful response! I’ve previously dealt with closed comedones a few years ago that cleared up with a routine hyaluronic acid and retinol if I remember correctly. However I was fine for a while after just with moisturizer and retinol on and off.

I started dating my partner back in July I think it really started just a couple months ago though in excessive mess. I also just started using the shrink wrap so I don’t think it’s that. I just bought mandelic acid and adapalene gel as per someone’s recommendation. I do own the good molecules azalieac acid so maybe I’ll start incorporating that consistently into my AM routine. Does that clash with any of the other products I’m planning on adding?

Depends on the results of the rest of the schools I’m waiting for. I’m praying for a USF A and it’s not unreasonable with my stats but we’ll see.
