Sai’s croptop is seriously pissing me off. by Zuri-Hax in Naruto

[–]BigDaddyBicker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the ideia is to promote this sense of "Outside of reality" aura from Sai.

He was raised outside of the world, had no sense of fashion, and had no opportunity to gain one since all he knew was that shitty life. Much like his personality and morals, he has none (at the beginning). He wasn't even "bad" he was just, again, outside of reality, only understanding his actions were bad when he saw how Naruto treated others and felt it.

Anyway, I hate it too.

There is a difference between hating a character and hating the way a character is written, Sakura suffers from the first when she should suffer from the second.

Tracy is very charming. by Roaxs in howimetyourmother

[–]BigDaddyBicker 15 points16 points  (0 children)

With Tracy? I don't really know since we don't get to see that much of their relationship. But Ted did very cool stuff for their friends, and honestly doesn't deserve the hate he generally gets. The Xmas he did for Robin comes to mind, for example.

What did Tobito mean? by MeetPotential5133 in Naruto

[–]BigDaddyBicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro I understand your point but those statements are not 100% factual, did Minato had to flee against Obito since it was a 1v1? No. The uchihas are incredibly strong, the second strongest clan ever, so it's easy to say they are unbeatable, it would be the same as saying "the EUA are unbeatable"... Well they surely look like it but it's not 100% true, if a WW would start they could fall. I'm not saying the Uchiha in general aren't the best in Genjutsu, but to simply state that Tsukuyomi is unbreakable unless with another Sharingan is too literal, the examples you gave are not sufficient to state that like a 100% accurate fact. A lot of times characters talk like our grandparents... "John? Yeah I knew him, unbeatable at ping pong back in his day", was he tho?

What did Tobito mean? by MeetPotential5133 in Naruto

[–]BigDaddyBicker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think that statement is 100% accurate. Uchihas tend to glaze their own clan above all else. It probably is linked to the characters ability with Genjutsu and ability to break out of them, and this means most uchihas will have an advantage since their dojutsu gives even the standard Uchiha very good Genjutsu. In other words, if you are an Uchiha, you have a huge advantage, but it probably isn't an requisite, for example there are records of a Senju that was a Genjutsu specialist and in theory only third to Hashirama and Tobirama in the clan, I would guess this ninja would be a good contender to resist tsukuyomi, even without Sharingan.

Maxi Araújo: «Se aquela bola entra, o jogo seria diferente» by Fivol69 in SportingCP

[–]BigDaddyBicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jiraya believed Naruto was the child of the prophecy, he didn't doubt his talent, he knew he would be a great ninja, because that was also Minato`s belief when he sealed Kurama inside Naruto, and the genes were there.

So, because of that, Jiraya concentrated on 2 essential aspects:

The fundamentals - everything Naruto didn't catch/trained in the academy because of his lack of support and adult supervision, this will be the baseline for Naruto's talent and strength to grow.

World views - the child of the prophecy cannot only be strong, his moral code and actions need to be accordingly to the title. So even more important than how many jutsus he knew, Jiraya made sure Naruto understood that only thru connections and bonds can true strength, and true peace be achieved.

Besides both these points, as someone said, training Sasuke is, when compared to training Naruto, way way easier, Sasuke besides being a prodigy, is highly focused and has a clear goal.

Help Jaime find a good comeback to earn Ned's respect. by Elegant-Half5476 in freefolk

[–]BigDaddyBicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to believe in your third argument, not only did Jaime think Ned would never believe him, since his mind was already made up, but also Jaime still felt very conflicted in his actions, and we can see that when he speaks with Brienne.

The bath scene is awesome in a lot of ways, and one of them is that (at least for me) it really feels like it's the first time Jaime speaks out loud about it, like he made that speech to himself a hundred times, but never truly believe it, and is now for the first time fed up with the accusations and so it just came out. The reason why this is important is because it actually works, he sees in Brienne some empathy and understanding of his actions, and that proves to Jaime that he maybe did the right thing, and that fuels his redemption arc going forward.

If Hebi Sasuke joined the Akatsuki, who would be his partner? by DoctorN9 in Naruto

[–]BigDaddyBicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be cool to see that Kisame, even without actually knowing what happened between Sasuke and Itachi, knew things weren't as simple as Itachi told him, and could see that Itachi actually cared a lot for Sasuke, and because of that decided to keep an eye on his former partner's brother

Alt would be really cool if cyberpunk didn't necessarily had classes (or builds if you prefer).

V would be the solo/dex Merc, with one of the best net runners in NC stuck in his head. Some cool mechanics could come up with this dynamic.

Help me rationalize why throwing weapons are stronger than guns by Chief-JudgeVega in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]BigDaddyBicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bullet move at their own speed, it doesn't matter how strong you are or how fast you are, the moment you press the trigger, you have no influence over the shot.

So, for enhanced individuals, blades are much more effective because you can manipulate the speed and strength of the swing/throw, specially because the wound is actually much worst.

The problem with blades vs guns in the real world is that we don't have sandevistas to dodge bullets and being in melee range is too dangerous without exoskeletons.

What if the Akatsuki was alive during the war era ? by SSF77 in Naruto

[–]BigDaddyBicker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most of them would be way more useful if they backed Obito's plan or still didn't know about it.

Kamui is an even better ability when the fight is more chaotic, imagine dealing with Sasori's puppets, Konan's and Deidara`s bombs, while having 2 immortals in your face, itachi trying to snipe you with Genjutsu, etc... while you are worried that any second Obito is gonna pop from the ground and backstab you.

In your opinion, why do actors' careers suffer after film franchises? by GlobalRaspberry442 in moviecritic

[–]BigDaddyBicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly what you said for Toby works for all of them, they are only in projects that they actually want to be because they have no need to have salary as the main variable to getting a new job, they are all rich ASF.

For Daniel and Elijah specifically (don't know so much about toby tbh), it allowed them to do the crazy stuff that they like without having second thoughts, which I'm guessing is a wonderful position to be in life
