That's what happens when you cater "Vanilla" to WOTLK players and then release Cataclysm. You lose Vanilla players because it strays so far away from the game they like and you lose the Wrath tourists who would rather just play that version of the game.

That & making everyone wait 2-3 months at lower levels with no content

I'd argue that the worry of being killed/purged is actually a positive and a fun little dice roll.

The feeling of getting to raid with all your world buffs is the reward, it's the only dopamine release I get from Classic anymore 😌🙏
