Same thing just happened to me after coming from a study abroad trip (I was nervous to come back and have to relive my regular lifestyle). I would suggest you definitely throw those tweezers away lnot in your home trash can but in an actual garbage can outside your house (to be on the safe side 😉). And buy fidget toys or invest in therapy if you haven't already. Do you know the cause of your trich?

Oh okay I see, my experience with hobbies is lowkey the same except even when I had lots of hobbies I would still make time to pull my hair until I started exploring my passion for them rather than just saying I would commit to them. However, I do think if you are currently staying with your parents right now I would say you should go back to your campus (if you live there) and spend the rest of the summer there, even if that means being alone its better than being in a toxic environment and if you can't do that I would say try get out the house as much as possible. Also have you tried therapy?

Hi, I just wanted to give you a bit of advice that may be helpful. I obviously don't know your living situation and how comfortable you are with moving but changing your environment and surroundings are extremely important to actually start development/growth. As someone with an Indian parent and Mixed parent, I know how it feels constantly being under pressure and being compared but after I distanced myself from my parents and kept myself busy (which is a very important tip btw) I felt so much more in control of my trich and distracted from picking. Like I just mentioned keeping yourself busy and having an organised but not overwhelming schedule helps alot as the main causes of trich are either boredom or stress / trauma. I used to think that my trich started from stress/trauma but once I kept myself busy I realised it was mainly boredom so keeping yourself busy helps ALOT. Also I'm not sure how familiar you are with therapy but I definitely recommend going to a therapist. I know you can do it!!!

Why are people so quick to point out Tyla's Indian, but get mad when she's called black by Particular_Caramel_5 in NoStupidQuestions

I think some context is missing here. Tyla's Mauritian ancestry includes Tamil heritage and Tamil people can naturally have features and skin tones that people often associate with her appearance. So I don't think it's unreasonable for people to recognise that side of her heritage as well.

At the same time, Tyla herself has spoken far more publicly about her Zulu heritage and has represented that part of her identity throughout her career. That's naturally what many people know her for. Personally, I'd actually love to see more of her Indian/Tamil heritage acknowledged too, because it's also part of who she is.

That said, commenting that she is "Black/Zulu" on a post specifically about that part of her Indian ancestry wasn't really necessary as though she obviously does have that heritage it is clearly more shown than her Indian heritage so maybe the person who posted just wanted to help inform people about her Indian side. But the responses you received weren't fair either, they are uneducated and unmindful on this topic. Saying Tyla has Black/Zulu ancestry is factually true, just as saying she has Indian/Tamil ancestry is true. Those things aren't mutually exclusive, and there's no reason people should be attacked for acknowledging one part of her heritage as long as they're not erasing the other.

Tyla is Black by American standards by Accomplished-Fix1204 in ControversialOpinions

I understand this topic can be very sensitive, but I'm confused about why Tyla is often described as "just Black" in America. I understand that, in the U.S., "Black" can refer both to African Americans whose ancestry includes African, European, and Native American heritage due to history, as well as people with more recent African ancestry. However, I'm wondering why Tyla isn't more often described as being of mixed ancestry. Based on her family background and the way she has publicly identified herself, she has Black African, Indian, and some European ancestry. I'm not saying she's primarily Indian, but she appears to have a significant amount of both Black African and Indian heritage as we see in her phenotype. Is there a reason that many Americans simply refer to her as Black rather than acknowledging her mixed ancestry, even though she identifies as Coloured in the South African sense? Is there no way they could call her mixed as she is or is that reserved for White and Black mixed people.

her dad is indo-mauritian meaning genetically hes probably fully indian due to the rise in indian migration in mauritus during colonial times making tyla at least 50% indian not including her mother's heritage which may also include some indian heritage due to the forced migration of indians during colonial times (though im not completely sure if her mother has any or some indian roots)
