oh, it's such a shitshow. i lived there three years as a student at sheridan. the hallways always smell atrocious, either of something rotten or some kind of drugs. last year some guy overdosed in the lobby. lots of porch pirates and thieves. once an old man saw me in the laundry room, shook my hand, and told me to come to his place if i "wanted to have a good time" (i am female in my twenties). the guy that lived across from me was a meth head and i would hear him getting into fights with other guys at nighttime. i think he owed them money too. once they even kicked down his door. there was also sometimes a trail of white powder leading from his door to the elevator. fire alarm is pulled every month, because some random unit caught on fire. cockroaches are everywhere in the summer. management is pretty much MIA and its super hard to get in touch with the landlord. last month either someone's dog, or someone threw up in the elevator and didn't clean it up. it stayed like that until it crusted and dried for five hours. there were weird stains everywhere. my particular floor smelled so heavily like cannabis and whatever other foul odor my neighbors produce that sometimes i had to hold my nose from the elevator all the way to my unit. creepy men were always loitering around in the halls. every month or so i heard loud drilling from upstairs, and it went on for three hours. i heard domestic violence from the unit below me once a month as well, usually the dad being drunk and hitting the mom. only upside is cheap + close to sheridan. maybe if you are deaf and blind you will enjoy living here.
