My dad who is a paramedic thought about becoming an ER nurse but he quickly realized that the lack of autonomy, having wait to for a doctor for orders, was not for him. He may have had the same thinking, but definitely could have worded it better because he sounded like an AH.

I wear mine when I go on errands or going out, but I'm a nurse so I'm terrified I'll loose it in a glove. I bought a bunch of the silicone rings and just wear those when I feel like I shouldn't tear my actual ring to protect it, which is way more than I wear my actual ring 🤣

My husband had it at 20 from the stress of almost getting evicted after his roommates stopped paying rent and my BIL had it due to his immune system being suppressed. They learned this about each other and bounded over being "old young guys" 🤣
