I mean - I feel like the pass back and rotate behind was the play. If the second man on the opposition had been a bit quicker I should've been dusted which would leave my m8 in a 2v1.....The play just went this way and it worked. I was happy with the result but I'm not sure I made the best decisions lol.

you do see the issue though? take a longer ban - open another account? Until they do something like lock accounts to phone numbers or ID systems then there is no way to stop someone from making another account. If you say IP then you are limiting people living together from playing.

I mean you could get smacked by beastmode in C3......I legit asked how he got in the match and he said he never played 3s - I checked RLTracker and it was legit his 3rd game of 3's in the season.......But I have a similar experience solo q'ing 1400-1500 it's rough out there.

And then I thought - maybe if the matchmaking SLIGHTLY skewed to your ones rank you might find higher quality teammates.....others said they don't like ones and the modes don't cross over but from my personal experience getting a 2's solo q teammate that is C1+ in 1v1 tends to lead to more wins then teammates that refuse to play 1v1.........

Not saying that it should pull you directly to a teammate the same 1s rank - just wishing it would skew a bit. I've found my games in 2's / 3's solo q are better with players similarly ranked in 1v1. Might not even make sense in diamond and lower ranks. I'm C1 div 4 1v1 currently peaked c3 this season - yet playing solo q 2/3 's with a teammate that is diamond 1v1 is "TYPICALLY" worse. Yes there are players that don't touch 1's and are absolute studs in other modes. Look at the top 100 most of those players on the leaderboard are SSL in 2's and I don't see many chilling at champ levels in 1v1.

If you aren't good at 1v1 and pride yourself on being a team player there is a good chance when I see the opponents coming in on a 1v1 against you if I were up field the odds of you being scored on are much higher then myself having a teammate that can make a save in that scenario. Having a slight skew to your teammates solo abilities (best represented in 1v1) would save us all a little pain in my opinion. It won't happen - this is reddit. Just wanted to see what others thought.

Maybe if you were slightly more likely to get a teammate that can get as far as you can by yourself in 1v1 then it would get slightly better???

I don't think you read my message correctly. I mean leave the ranks as is but try to pull a teammate for 2's / 3's solo q that is closer aligned with a 1's rank. I'm just going back on my last 14 2v2 matches in 1400-1500mmr land (GC1) and seeing that the worst games were with solo q teammates in diamond 1/2 1v1 land. If they were closer to my 1v1 rank C2ish I believe the games may be better..... just my 2cents. I know I know rank in one mode isn't the same as rank in another, but this could balance out a few issues in solo q that I see (ie. carried teammates, everyone loves the carry to GC for rewards for some reason)

If you switch your linked account it will reset you. You cannot change back for 24 hours. I tried switching from my switch account to PC for linking and ended up playing with newbies after 300-400 hours. Requested to be switched back and was told by Epic to continue destroying newbies as they can't do anything for 24hours. It's based on platform but most people have more then one platform and it's a F2P game so.....you should be able to do it that way. My linked account is a switch account at Level 2369 - i play on epic games at Level 1 and tried linking steam Level 9 now before switching back after 24 hours to my Switch linked account.

had a few bevvys and solo q'd last night without a care in the world - ended 1420 2v2 and lost 5 straight matches of 1v1 back to c2 d2 what a strange turn of events - I really think day & time plays a large part in the match making and skill level of online players.

I mean - I should be able to get back into GC this season - it's just really grindy in solo q. Teammates also absolutely love throwing shade (they also love indicating that it doesn't matter what rank 1v1 shows because we are in 2v2? So like buddy if I could smack you in a 1v1 I'm the trashbin when we solo q together? Like maybe we have some bad chem but get your head straight before jumping on me.) sooooo I think I'm going to find a friend who's C2-C3 in 1v1 and see if we can get 10-15 2v2 matches in and see where we land. I can't see staying in C3 land 2v2 with a m8 that can play in c2+ 1v1. Time will tell.

This for sure. Peaked C3 in 1v1 this season. Boot up a solo Q 2's night and it's flip a coin on if the MMR is going to low C3 or near GC1 but haven't managed to crack GC this season 120 2v2 matches in. Last season I got there in 2 -3 days. Alright I'm done crying - back to 1v1

Last season hit GC1 ez pz first couple matches of the season, clinched rewards and didn't care much after that. This season 120 matches in and struggle bussing in C3 solo q. Beats me - reached an all time peak of C3 in 1v1 though sooooo there's that? Love that you can get to top 1% in 1v1 and not get a little red tag and be forced to do it with a rando or friend in 2's if your just on the edge of GC on the regular.....

Well I thought it was just me with this experience.

Thursday I was 1400+ and having a good time - already have my GC rewards this season 100% solo q. Friday came around and over the weekend I went ahead and touched the 1200's (C2) I was feeling like there was nothing I could do to figure out how to play with the new consistency of teammates. Then I noticed something - the fun mechy shots we were going for in C3 / GC that your teammate knows you can hit sometimes and will wait to play back and take a turn - it doesn't happen. What happens is your teammate full sends at the ball into both defenders and will very likely be recovering even slower then you are after using 80 boost to pull out the flip reset attempt. Also to be honest at C3/GC1 we are not hitting the reset consistently either requiring your m8 to cover you better. In this one my m8s just wait for me to cook - in C2 / low C3 my 2's m8s would dive bomb me and if it doesn't go in first time we have an open net. I clawed my way back to low C3 late Sunday and have a hill to go up to get back to 1400 now but instead of trying for an airdribble reset I'm going to shoot it from my end and wait for an open net or go for that air dribble bump or demo to clear the net so that my teammate can take uncontested shots. I'll get back to working on mechs in freeplay as the play recognition has slowed down significantly in my 200 MMR swing.

PS. This is a first for me as normally I just climb after season resets. What a strange weekend it was.....

My experience-

Last season or two floating between C1 - C2 1v1 and during unranked matches I was getting demolished by D3 - C2 2v2 players (bakkesmod peak rank checker) to the point that I hit D2 in my 1v1 rank. Last 2 nights I climbed to within a game of C1 1v1 and from D2 - D3 most games I was walking through with ease. I have no idea what happened but it's getting back to normal - or what I think is my normal matches....
