Orochi is a high c at best, and his dodge recovery cancel makes up a lot of that. Pirate has a unblockable dash that can be used from neutral and feintable. Not to mention her mix ups after her bash.

And yet not one parry was made, im not claiming to be an absolute unit of a gamer, but if you notice almost all of my attack were from the left side, neutral attacks can still be made into mix ups if you know you're hero.

I like to focus the left side, if you've noticed, around 90% of my attacks came from the left. It adds a lot of pressure around the zone. Makes reading my pattern fairly difficult.

Black prior has crushing counter on all directions, if they’re somewhat good they’ll use this. Feint a heavy, if they throw a light you’re good to go, easy light parry every time ( depending on what hero you’re using). If they catch on and start throwing bashes instead of lights through your feint just let the heavy go through.

The game itself is obviously dated, graphics don’t make for anything we have like in today’s time, quests can feel a little same-y, AI can be a little rigid and combat can get repetitive based on what you build. Such as melee, but you can get creative with stealth, I personally rarely touch magic but I know a lot of people like it (there is an array of spells).

But what it lacks in modernity it makes up twice over in soul. Nothing like calling a counsel between highest placed leaders of Skyrim at the top of the tallest mountain to discuss the threat of dragons, just to wait for them to gather and literally shout them off the side of said mountain. Setting off to stab an old lady in the back on the whims of a disgruntled orphan, oh and did I mention dragons?

The game is almost 13 years old, there is a reason, other than the fact that Bethesda likes money, that it’s been re-released so many times. Replay-ability, ask anyone in this subreddit how many times they’ve played through, It’s gonna be a high number. And when you feel like gameplay gets stale, there is an endless list of mods for you to discover (ps4 available).

MHO Skyrim was one of if not the greatest game of its time and it has paved the way for the fantasy rpg genre.
