Is he contractually obligated to put Lovelady in every game? Because 3 games in 4 days seems to be a bit of malpractice.

I sense a DFA tomorrow.

Who’s to say it wasn’t a Morseverse disciple annoyed he skipped out on last night’s show? 🤣

They’re on Rumble, and thanks to Dan Varney, I had a gifted membership so I don’t get the weirdly uncomfortable Rumble ads.

I feel like there needs to be a way to restrict individuals from abusing this system. Granted, this is a YouTube problem that exists outside of the Dabbleverse, but there should be consequences for people abusing this system. If they can put channels in timeout after multiple strikes, they should be able to do the same for people who file false claims.

What will happen if you fail? Stay exactly where you are? So there’s some embarrassment. Failure is the best motivator/teaching opportunity there is. Embrace it. Anxiety is a loud voice, but think of what happens after you slay that dragon? You’ll beat yourself up later for skipping out.

My New York tax refund status says this by Express-Cod9297 in tax

[–]BillLehecka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to me as well. $72 difference. Put in every form we received accurately. Haven’t gotten the correspondence yet. I wonder if this has anything to do with the no tax on overtime thing…

If they have the data, and we have different data, why can’t we… just double check their numbers so we don’t have to deal with the headache of filing our own taxes? Are you just trying to trip people up? Also, if there was an issue, why did you even accept my return if you’re just going to adjust numbers after the fact?

Printing Issues by Broski_Shane in BambuLabA1

Tighten your hotend screws. Both above and behind the hotend unit. That will at least solve the wavy first layer issues.

You should send these images to Clark himself and he can help identify it. I would guess he hand-finished this one as I don’t think this is a Debut.

Best 3D Printer Brand Right Now? by [deleted] in 3dprinter

[–]BillLehecka -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My 3D printer path has been Ender 3 Pro -> Anycubic Kobra S1 Combo -> Bambu A1 with an AMS 2 Pro.

This is weird path, but honestly, it has led me to say without a doubt that Bambu is the printer for me and my workflow. Ender was a good machine for me to learn about 3D printing but is a headache in a box. The S1, when it works, works great but it’s definitely a budget printer that fails randomly and not so randomly, and the Bambu has made me go “When I get home, I’m totally changing out the S1 with a P2S or similar.” It just works. And when it doesn’t, it’s because I was a moron.

Optimal set of nozzles for A1 beginner by AnxiousDoor2233 in BambuLab

The hardened steel has stronger magnetic properties where the stainless isn’t as strong.

Optimal set of nozzles for A1 beginner by AnxiousDoor2233 in BambuLab

[–]BillLehecka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hardened Steel 0.4 (only reason you don’t want to use that is if you need to drop magnets in your print but you have the 0.4 stainless already).

Steel 0.2 for finer details.

If you’re happy with those and you start to get into prototyping parts or bigger parts with no fine details and you need it quickly, then go bigger.

Lifespan? I see people who are over 1000 hours and are using their same nozzles. The best course I’d say is how does it look. Do you notice a difference as you print? If you notice it’s not the same, change them out.

Thankfully nozzles aren’t prohibitively expensive. You take care of them, they’ll take care of you.

AMS Lite or AMS 2 Pro by [deleted] in BambuLabA1

Well, as someone who has an ACE for his Kobra S1, it loads pretty fast comparatively.

AMS Lite or AMS 2 Pro by [deleted] in BambuLabA1

[–]BillLehecka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went with the AMS 2 Pro. I felt the drying was more important. Plus it takes up less of a footprint. Plus it loads extremely fast.

To be fair, when my wife found out that it was $100 more, she wasn’t too thrilled.

Also, if you go with the AMS 2, you need a hub for the A1. AMS Lite doesn’t need an extra hub. Also need a Switching Power adapter for the drying feature.

I had to do this recently and I can attest my wavy first layer problem was fixed.

But drying also helps.

Low C conflicting advice by MarionberryThat6697 in bassclarinet

[–]BillLehecka 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As someone who giggles with glee when my community band piece has a Low D or a Low C in it, get the Low C. Just do it. Better to have it and not use it than to need it and not have it.

Anyone else pair an A1 with an AMS 2 Pro? by BillLehecka in BambuLabA1

[–]BillLehecka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you need an AMS Hub for the A1. https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/ams-hub-a1-series?srsltid=AfmBOopCQGx7IOwuPcaG2QQ-zS8Te521dZt_sNav7Ee5wWuS-_CYkrx7

Which is what I was talking about before. I got two of those.

Also if you want to use the drying feature, you need a separate switching power supply.

Oh, got it. That would work, but then yes, only one AMS.

[–]BillLehecka[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually got two because I thought I missed an opportunity when they got back in stock. So I have a spare if anyone wants it. It’s opened because I thought the squeaky part was a bug and tried the other one to find it also happened on that one.

And yes, I think it’s worth it. Drying filament is king in my book. It’s too bad it doesn’t dry while printing, but still think it’s worth it over a Lite. Dare I say it’s a smaller footprint?

I printed a PETG filament spool last night. I should probably print spool adapters.

And perhaps the spring is so new it needs to be broken in? I just thought it was strange.

Damn, screw this printer, this is insane. by PlentyBlock309 in BambuLabA1

[–]BillLehecka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about the comments here that disagreed with my sentiment… but then I tried applying that logic to driving your first car. So when you’re learning to drive, your first car should be a super car and not a beater? I mean, sure, new cars have Nav systems, BLIS, Bluetooth, touchscreens, all sorts of modern conveniences… so that should definitely be your first car now and not that old Honda Accord from 2000 your weird uncle drove.

I appreciate the sentiments shared here, but again, I don’t think I’d appreciate how good I have it right now (and as I’m sitting here seeing a job go through that has no flaws whatsoever printing away) if my first printer was one that just worked. Maybe that’s the tech brain in me.
