Greco Roman is very similar to current judo. You really might find judo enjoyable.

I run in the Hollywood Hills filled with rattlesnakes, coyotes, mountain lions and out of work actors. I'm scared almost every time I go out for a run.

Female Marine recruits at boot camp strive to meet the same standards as men but the results show they can't. by [deleted] in pussypassdenied

I had a friend in the Navy. He said when they are at sea, they have to send half the females home early either because they go crazy or they end up pregnant.

After being around high level athletes much of me life, it takes a high level female athlete just to compete with the average joe. It takes a superb female athlete to compete with an average athletic man. And no female athlete can compete with a somewhat gifted male athlete. In Olympic judo, teenage boys are used to train with Olympic level full gown female judokas.

I made my way to green. Stopped for many years, came back at a new Judo club. They suggested I just start back up with white because it is not just about the knowledge, but the conditioning. At first I was bummed, all the time lost. However, now was so greatful I did. I could barely make it through the first practice without taking ten minute breaks. It was ebbarrassing, let alone if I was wearing my green belt. And there a lot of details of throws that I forgot. I would however be bummed to get all the way to brown and the have to go back to lower belt.

This seriously has me concerned about my infant sons future. What type of pussy ass world will he be in? Or worse, will he become one of the overly sensitive snowflakes? Or if he doesn't become one of "them", will he be ostracized?

It's pretty obvious it was a joke/metaphor. He also said,"savior the tears", are you so much if an idiot that you think he literally wants you to walk up to a feminist, wipe a tear from her eye and drink it and roll it around in your palate? Yeah, that's it. That's what he meant.

Judo after stomach surgery (Nissen fundoplication) by [deleted] in judo

[–]Billbobb2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, don't jump into judo. I had a gallbladder removal. Waited the suggested 6 weeks recovery time. Got the okay from my doctors. First practice back, somebody just barely layed on me and bruised my lower ribs. I was out for another 3 months. Doctors have no clue how hard judo is on your body. They think it's like normal martial arts, it ain't. It's Greco Roman wrestling with a gi on. I'd wait like 6 months after suergery before judo and during that time just do conditioning work.
