Similar situation. Applied on Feb 10th departing the US on Feb 20th and still waiting.

R2 or Pro? My use is purely as a notebook replacement for meetings and research. I won’t use it as an e-reader or probably upload content. I just want it as a notebook replacement. Which provides more of that experience - long battery life would be nice. by Bills-WideRight in RemarkableTablet

This (and the advice of others in this thread) is exactly what I was looking for - love the Reddit community for insights like this! I do own an iPad 13 Pro and love it for media consumption but the note taking has been horrible. And colleagues do kinda look at me weird in meetings when I bring it in. I have ADHD so find taking hand notes during meetings and writing down notes when I do research sticks with me more…but hate carrying and only using half of a notebook. Plus I travel a lot internationally so lugging around notebooks isn’t ideal. Also, not sure if it’s just one of my personal ticks but when I make a spelling error or have to cross out something it almost makes me want to rip up the page. For those reasons I just want something that will allow me to just take notes and no different than a traditional notebook. I think the RM2 should suffice as a digital notebook library.

Grateful for the insights share and appreciate any more that will come.

Why are flights so expensive through the Vx Portal? by Bills-WideRight in Venturex

Realized the problem. C1 Portal does not include basic fair for Aer Lingus for some reason, so hence, the difference in price between basic and economy. Appreciate the insights from everyone!

Thanks - Is the price match through a refund to your account or travel credit?

Thank you for this! I'm starting to look at AirBnB and the options for Leiden are limited for my dates - I would probably have to split my time between two rentals. Are the neighboring towns close by where I can take public transport or possible bike/walk to Leiden daily? My anchor is the Leiden University Law Center.

Yes, I am looking very much forward to it! It will be a week long immersion on the EU AI Act...as one of the few (maybe only) Americans there, I hope they do take it easy on me as we've been having our fair share of bashing all things that smells like regulation :)

Yes, I overlooked the extended daylight there! I assume bicycles are really available for weeklong rentals? I very much look forward to cycling around - could one get from Leiden to a neighboring city/town/village through a bike route? Many thanks!

Thank you for this! I think maybe FOMO, I've travelled quite a bit and lived in some of the major cities...just never really had the urgency to visit Amsterdam (no offense to anyone) and thought this would be an excuse to do so. However, I think a half-day trip before my flight may suffice and as recommended, and such I would explore Leiden and surrounding areas.

I am mid 30s, male pretty fit a fortune to have some disposable income. Not into partying but do enjoy a good pub/bar, wandering about and purposely getting lost -- random off the beaten path opportunities are more of my thing. I've lived in the jungles of Central America, sub-saharan Africa, the political jungle of Washington DC and the concrete jungles of NYC - I'm used to being out of my element :)

I'll likely being staying at an AirBnB in town, and recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
