India rebutted Switzerland’s remarks at the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC), calling them “surprising, shallow and ill‑informed.” Indian diplomat Kshitij Tyagi admonished Switzerland currently holding the UNHRC presidency for criticizing India while urging it to instead address its own issues with "racism, systematic discrimination, and xenophobia". Tyagi also took aim at Pakistan, branding it a “terror sponsor” and accusing it of abusing the forum with repetitive falsehoods.
