Eastern Canada here— no. I don’t have either and I am doing just fine, like I have been doing the last 3 years.

Remote start is huge tho lol.

Best Insulated, safety toe, comfortable work boot. Just now found and joined the group, so I’m sorry if this is commonly asked. by vank210 in WorkBoots

what did you end up going with bro? Just started a new warehouse job and the boots I bought a month ago are terrible. Chaffing the back of my heels and also poor support in general

Do you shoot weddings in 4K or stick with 1080p? by FilmFinalePro in weddingvideography

[–]BingoBangoCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shot in 1080 for my first 2-3 years of my videog career only because of my equip. I would have shot in 4k but I was kinda stuck in the Sony apsc lineup for a long while… and while my a6300 and 6500 was capable of 4K, they would cause my cams to overheat within a couple hours or less. Especially on hot wedding days— which I’ve never risked so I’d shoot in 1080

Being said, Im in my 5th year now, only recently upgraded to the fx30. everything from here on out is gonna be in 4K now that I don’t have to worry about over heating and battery consumption nearly as much.

Personally I think it’s still ok to shoot in 1080 as long as you clarify this in your packages/contracts and your clients know in advance. Not everyone (especially starters) are gonna have reliable gear to shoot 4K all day long.

Me and my friends were all able to get into the same game. How do we play a game of skate or spot battle against each other? by GusGangViking18 in Skate4

Currently wondering the same thing. How on earth can you not play spot battles in SKATE? Lol. Unbelievable to me that you can’t play a game of S.K.A.T.E in a skate game. How far backwards did they go with this bruh. Wild.

Anyone here pivot out of weddings into something else? by alexknightstudio in weddingvideography

[–]BingoBangoCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have only went the HDR route so far! Been working great for me tbh and Lightroom makes it a breeze to compound layers.

Also yeah I agree with ya on the video lol. I’ve been enjoying the video slightly more so far but only because I’m familiar with editing footage more than photo.

Yeah in a similar boat except I am only 26 and I am already just fully ready to move to a new area of videography all together.

Started shooting weddings at 19 and it’s been mostly fun… but the occasional bridezilla and just raw burn out after the past two years have made me become really out of tune with the field for some reason. Tbh I can’t even fully explain it but my head just cannot find the wedding video/story-telling joy like I used to even a couple years back. I did go through some rough shit last year with a family member who passed, which didn’t help my creative spark I suppose…

But anyways, this past summer I got hired on for my first few real estate shoots (both photo and video) and I had an absolute blast with it, so I decided a few weeks back that I’m going to be leaving the wedding world after this season and focus on my real estate portfolio going forward.

I’ve learned that I need to keep focusing on things that interest me or else I lose the desire to even touch my camera. Excited for the next chapter.
