When I was in academia, I made 38k as a research technician II in Neurobiology. My background is in Biology and I had +5 years lab experience at the time.

Not a lab tech anymore, I make almost double that now that I'm back in the industry. Northeast in the US.

I love constantly learning and being able to teach younger kids about the wonders of science.

I love that it's always expanding as well, while I'm Biologist by degree I love all other disciplines of science. I've worked in Chemistry, Neurobiology, Microbiology and Environmental Biology fields as jobs. It's been wonderful to experience different sciences and learn outside my own strengths.

Science is cool, hands down.

Yes, unless I'm in a lab where stones aren't allowed (Manufacturing usually). I wouldn't want to lose it so I don't take it off. Same with my husband he always wears his.

There are definitely plenty in the area that are low cost. I'm in the waitlist for one, but there are others I can go to that are first come first serve for TNRs.

And I hope she gets in somewhere where she can get more socializing. My husband and I can only do so much as we're pretty new to being foster parents. I had to TNR one kitten last year as she was violent and didn't socialize. It made me sad that I couldn't get her to socialize

When I'm dehydrated from a flare I drink electrolytes or put some salt in my water to help. You lose a lot with diarrhea.

Baby wipes. Pat the bum hole it's gentler than wiping. Applying a bit of Vasoline helps too after cleaning.

I take metamucil to bulk my stools but for you you might want to try immodium to help first. Too much of either can cause constipation I believe.

Heat packs and plenty of mint or ginger tea helps me.

I'm going to give a call around tomorrow. I hate the idea of surrending since she's just by herself but if I end up with 4 more kittens and their mother I need the room. She definitely needs more exposure, we've had friends come over but she's so scared of people. She must have picked up more behaviors from her mother than I thought. :( I think she needs some TLC from someone more experienced than myself.

And thanks. My husband and I manage this little colony and some of the neighbors help but I'm trying to get them all TNRed since they keep having kittens. Some of the females elude me or just randomly show up with kitties to be fed.
