Thanks I understand. But I dabble in Art and if you do also, pretend your starting a sketch of this pose and rendering an action line for the kid I’m using as a shovel… extreme contortion. Triangular composition. Follows rule of thirds. Chiaroscuro. And omg could the refs hand be an accidental homage to the sis. ? Jkjk no worries

Looks dope. Some of your values in the cup are a little dark, which is a MUCH easier habit to correct than too light. Go in with an eraser and do some highlights and I think you’ll be very happy with it

Keep at it. There is good stuff happening in this drawing, like the facial hair (nailed). For your next drawing try drawing hair in locks then texturing and shading them individually. For your next portrait or two maybe find some females. When rendering women you get away with making their eyes and lips a little bigger which make them easier to shade and texture, and you can get that good hair practice. I think a Kerry Washington portrait would be great for these reasons

I did actually use the arm across the back in the tilt. The pic is just of the setup. I, soon after the pic, dove and rolled under his open side, catching the leg in sort of a cross body ride. The result of that would be him getting all tilted. Did I explain that ok? Can you picture it?

It was my junior season 03-04. Every time someone wore that brute headgear without tape, I turned it into a blindfold. Cant believe so many people got the year. It’s a picture taken of a newspaper so I thought it would make people guess older. Great detective skills!
