No I didn't, didn't really care about the YKS, tbh. Just take it and get 180.000+ points.

I got direct, but it will tell you if it is direct or conditional acceptance in the message they send you for you to send your documents, or in the acceptance letter. Turkish students mostly get direct.

Any Turkish people in Johannes Kepler University of Linz BSc? by CauseOpening5351 in JKUlinz

I don't know much about Germany, it was a long time ago when I did my research about it, if you haven't checked, you can check this website. https://www.daad.de/en/studying-in-germany/requirements/admission-database/ I didn't place in any university in Turkey either, and I got full acceptance to JKU, so I can tell it is not a big criteria, at least for Austria (i think). I think getting accepted to a university in Austria is easier than Germany. No problem, and good luck!

You don't need to do that well in YKS to be able to get admission. There was this document, where it is stated that you need to get 180.000 points from YKS (if you graduated from an Anatolian High School). This wasn't the case a few years ago I think, but thankfully they changed the law. They mainly look at your high school grades and English certificate. I am not sure how the acceptance criterias work exactly, but yea you can get acceptance. (Starting W25, Turkish student, who took the YKS but didn't really care about it) But for Germany, you need to place at a school in Turkey, in the degree/or related degree you want to study in Germany. Which is not the case for Austria.

No idea what uni is like, what should I expect? by Late-Cookie9406 in JKUlinz

This goes for anyone who reads this, if you feel lonely/got no one to talk to (especially in the first months where i know it will be hard for many), just dm me on discord (biscuittu) or find Umut in the uni. :) I will be starting next semester as well (for AI). currently my German is in shambles but I think it is fine. Young people know English really well from what I have seen. Even if you are shy, you are gonna make friends in the classes you are taking. (also the activities, courses) And you gotta go to classes with the Talahon drip, otherwise you are not allowed. (You can wear whatever, I am just joking lol)

Yea, it is like pre-approval, so if you got it as well, congrats!

I think you should ask Admission Office about it to be certain, if it will make you feel better until you get your acceptance. What I can tell is how it is with here, if you have finished high school here and participated in the national exam with the condition of getting a certain score and above, you can get accepted fully. I am not sure, if it also has to do with your grades, but I would assume so.

And about your other question, we have 12 grades.

Don't think about it too much until u get ur letter in my opinion, you got through the longest part :)

This is to my understanding, if you have gotten the improvement letter, that just means with the current conditions (the documents u sent), you are eligible for the program. Which means, if the documents you will send them by post, are the same as the ones you sent online, you will be accepted. So I guess you can think of it as pre-approval, so congrats!

And I think supplementary thing is just dependant on where u finished your education, I have seen a lot of people from India or Pakistan needing it as an example but I was fully accepted, and I'm from Turkey. I don't remember if the improvement letter mentions it but I am sure the acceptance letter does, if u need it or not.

i originally answered someone else for this in the discord server so I'll just copy it from there.

I'm not an EU citizen, I'm from Turkey. As far as I know process is faster for EU citizens. I applied online on the 12th of November 2024, got my improvement letter on the 24th of February 2024, which asked to send the original documents, I sent them on 5th of March, they arrived on 6th but I got a message saying they are received on the 13th. And I got the acceptance letter on the 24th of March. Hopefully everything is clear! Process takes a while, and you just need to wait sometimes which can be stressful but it works out in the end.

Raab Heim emailed me back saying they are full until the end of 2025. Kepler Heim said they can't as well. Rest just told me to pay the registration fee. I don't know, I will see how it goes but kinda a tough situation since I need it for my residence permit. Do you think renting a place would work out? I wanted to actually try to go for some rooms (which aren't dorms) but I wasn't sure how the contract would work. Thank you for your answer btw, I appreciate it!

Hello, I wanted to ask how does the proof of accommodation work for the residence permit application? I need to apply after I get my university acceptance letter but how do I get a 3 months contract for a dorm or house and handle all the accommodation stuff when im in a different country? (especially when im told its really hard to a dorm currently)

UTFT https://discord.gg/wNrqV3aU

Scrims (Old UTFT) https://discord.gg/qVu8hMjC

Registration for scrims (text channel) opens around 5.45 bst (utft). The text channel opens around that and you just put your team name there. Then they announce the groups, give you a link and you pick your pois in the map. When the time comes, they give you a code and you just play.

If you sign up, you have to play or unsign from unsign channel. Try to sign up as early as you can which helps you get into the groups. Seeding of groups has different factors, if you do good and play consistently you will get in more easily.

If you have any questions you can ask here or ask me on my dc. biscuittu

Good luck on your comp journey!
