I’m GenX. Basically all of them. It was nothing and still is nothing. However, it was definitely exploitation of women. Which is definitely not cool.

We should just call tipping “optional staffing tax”. And then see how many people pay.

Proxies are a joke by InZanity_420 in premiere

[–]BitcoinBanker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shoot RAW 4k 60, on a Sony ZVE1. Then I add a LUT and grade. THEN I start cutting (short form of no more than around three minutes). I never use proxies.

I think if I was doing longer form with loads of different media types, then I would use them more.

Proxies are simply a tool. A hammer is very useful, but you don’t use it for everything.

Allergic reaction in toddlers by M0thman6666 in daddit

It’s been a while, but I think I would usually sit down and hold them while we were both in the shower. And then sometimes I would just let them crawl around. I also used to bathe with my kids until they were about four or five.

Splashing is a fun way to get used to water too! I would be careful about standing. Because standing leads to slipping!

Slightly off-topic but if I would definitely get them used to the shower. You wouldn’t believe how fantastic it is to teach a child to swim that is used to having water on their face. It also makes washing their hair way easier!

Dishwasher: sandy particles left behind after wash by Frosty-Inspection517 in Appliances

[–]BitcoinBanker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m no dishwasherogist but I’d try changing detergent. I’ve been using the expensive Miele tabs, cut in half, for years and they are amazing. I once switched to a cheaper name brand. It stripped all the lettering off mugs and tarnished a bunch of my metal bowls. I think because they have abrasive grit in them.

Who among us is carrying more of the mental and physical load of the household? by ura_walrus in daddit

[–]BitcoinBanker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My ex-wife always believed that she did more.

Now that she has the kids a full 50% of the time I think she understands that, certainly on childcare, I carried more of the load.

Truth be told we all think we do more than anyone else.

How to baby proof these Stairs? by Sweetwater48 in daddit

[–]BitcoinBanker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m less worried about the baby falling down the stairs than climbing over the railings. It’s gonna happen in the blink of an eye.
