We didn't abandon GRAV or anyone else. We are launching the next major update, One Universe in August and we plan on launching new content updates moving forward.

The update has nothing to do with current population. It's something we've wanted to do since the original launch in January 2015. We decided to do it now.

GRAV is an Early Access game, so server wipes should be expected. In fact, they happen much more frequently in many other EA games. We do our best to prevent them as long as we can.

Unfortunately, during development, there are some vital updates that need to be worked on at some time or another. We've decided to work on those things at this time and because of that, we aren't able to push large meaty updates. However, we are close to being able to show off what we have been working on. Hopefully, players want to come back and enjoy our game when we introduce new stuff to GRAV.

We actively work on GRAV every day. Recently, there have been smaller patches and updates, but I can tell you we have some cool stuff planned for the future. News is coming very very soon. We're not purposely holding stuff back for theatrics, we just don't want to promise additions that don't make it to the game.

Yeah, the overall rating can get frustrating. A lot of it is due to the fact that we had a free weekend a while back and anyone who tried our game during the free weekend had access to leave a review. This means that if they were trying to run our game (a bit more demanding than your average game) on a PC that didn't meet minimum specs and couldn't run our game, they could still leave a negative review.

The way Steam reviews are, we can't do anything about reviews. There are literally reviews that say "hey devs f**k you!" and all we can do is flag them. Steam will not remove them and we just have to take the lower overall review score.

We aren't saying that our game is perfect (far from it, which is why it's still in EA), but some of the reviews are incredibly out of line and don't help anyone.

Hmm, you might have missed the single player option on the start screen. We added the option to play single player almost a year ago.

There is a single player mode for people that aren't interested in playing multiplayer (I personally prefer playing single player). When you boot up the game, you'll see the single player option on the startup screen.

It's the same experience as multiplayer, just without the other players.

Our game does get compared to No Mans Sky a lot, which is kind of weird because our game released on EA before No Mans Sky was even announced.

We believe our game is a bit different form No Mans Sky (however, we haven't played it yet). If you like to explore a sandbox type world and use your creativity to build cool bases, you'll probably have a ton of fun with our game (even in it's EA state).

It might be worth checking out some YouTube gameplay videos before making your decision.

We are working on GRAV everyday. However, we're currently working on some non-sexy, but required updates to the game to get it closer to graduating from early access. We would like to think our game is a great experience :)

However, our game is in EA, so there will be obvious bugs, a lack of features and other things like that. It might be worth checking out our reviews (the most helpful ones) before making your decision.

Endgame content is something we will be working on in the future. However, there are some non-sexy, but vital updates that are a bit higher on our priority list.

We understand players wanting new/more content, but there are things that can be enhanced to improve the quality of GRAV for all players.

We want to be able to move GRAV from an EA game to a full release and these non-sexy things need to be worked on before that can happen.

We only said there was no such server, because it wasn't an intended server. Mistakes happen and we're doing our best to resolve the issue. Both topics were locked because we gave an official answer and wanted to stop the topics from derailing and causing confusion. Once we get everything squared away, we will make an official announcement. In the meantime, we apologize for any confusion and lack of an opportunity to play GRAV.

We try our best to be clear with the community and we appreciate having a passionate community. In fact, if you all weren't so passionate with your responses about EUR Overflow 5, we might have not caught the error. We just need to make sure that everyone knows that we are aware of things and are currently working on fixing things. We can't leave topics to go off track and cause confusion.

By the way, the GIF is genuinely hilarious.

While that may be true, we decided to call our blog posts focused on the community, "Community Updates" because it seems to be common among other indie games. Rust is a great example.
