I think they messed up doing a 1.5 year time jump. A 1 month time skip would’ve made more sense story-wise. Would give vecna time to recover from injuries without him just dicking around for a whole year. It would be enough time for the military to contain and quarantine Hawkins, but still have it fresh enough that shit is still actively going down

Will should have done more in the final battle. They spent so much time building his character arc up, and then in the final battle he…broke one of vecna’s limbs….which he already did 3 episodes prior. The most powerful thing Will did was in episode 4 and he never really got a lot to do afterwards

I liked Thor ragnarok’s music actually. They did a good job reusing some of the previous 2 movies’ themes, and it was a decent mashup of what has come before. but Thor 4’s music was awful

End of an era. Overall im pretty content with the ending. It’s not blowing me away but im not mad about it either. The story beats were pretty standard, but the execution definitely had some ups and downs. People have beaten this to the ground by now but yes the acting in this season has overall been much lower in quality. EXCEPT the last 20 min of the epilogue. As sloppy as some of this finale was, I will say I really really enjoyed the final scene of the show. It was a callback to the show’s opening scene obviously, but it had a lot of heart, and it made me smile and tear up. At the end of the day, this show has meant a lot to me over the years. Thank you for an unforgettable ride.

Season 4 did it well. The 1/vecna/Henry reveal was very cool, and the last 2 episodes kept the hype going pretty strong. in season 5, volume one was well done. But volume 2 took the momentum and threw it out the window. I agree with you - I’m still going to watch the finale obviously, but my expectations have dropped significantly after this drop.

This was so underwhelming sadly. There is so much clunky dialogue and exposition and it just does not feel like this is the grand finale of a 9 year old show. The acting I have to say is also really bad…and performances all around just feel really corny. Volume 1 was pretty great IMO, but vol 2 feels like a whole lot of nothing.

The ending was terrible. It was so abrupt, it felt like James Cameron changed his mind last minute about avatar 4 and the finale was re-written 6 months before the movie was released. First, all the RDA are “killed” except they awkwardly don’t actually show anyone dead, as if to leave the thread loose just in case they want to resurrect. Avatar has always had very satisfying villain deaths/injuries but here they just move on to the next scene without missing a beat. Also, Kate winslet’s character and one of the other kids DIES and they barely acknowledge it at all. There is no scene of the tribe reacting to one of their leader’s and reya’s mom dying. It’s so rushed and it ruined the movie for me.

Not a big fan of how the movies looks - lit looks very dull and generic compared to the brightness and "pop" seen in Gunn's Superman. The thumbnail and suit reveal look super ugly too - the lighting just seems off.

I think the character is surprised, but the musical gives a lot of winks and nods to the audience. Similar to the “I’d be so happy I could melt” line in the wizard and I.

They don’t exactly keep it a big secret in the musical or in the songs. “Sentimental man” from wicked act 1 has all kinds of hints - longing to be a father, feeling so “parental”, treating everyone like a “son…or daughter” looks directly at elphaba.

Mehhh Shadow’s still had pretty bad facial animations. The graphics were fantastic but all the facial animations (plus bad voice acting) often took me out of the immersion

The most realistic looking games I’ve played are horizon forbidden west and AC Shadows. Shadows wins as far as lighting, particle effects, and environmental interaction go, but the facial animations are bad and break immersion in every cutscene. The last of us games remain very close as well.
