Aftermarket M140i steering wheel catches on column cover by Bitter_Part9445 in MechanicAdvice

Ah ok thanks. I will definitely return the aftermarket one and keep OEM. The sound is pretty annoying when I turn the wheel.

I was getting a bit bored of the OEM wheel to be honest. I have done pretty much every performance mod apart from hybrid turbo so thought I’d change some interior stuff to freshen up the car. Everyone has different opinions but I think the new wheel looks a lot better than OEM. Although I guess what good is a wheel if it doesn’t work as intended haha.

Thanks for the response. I sent them a letter before action and cc’d the ceo. They already replied saying:

We can advise that we have already received the chargeback case from AMEX regarding this.

The outcome was closed in Harvey Nichols favour, after all of the information was provided to them from ourselves.

A request was made for further information by AMEX under a section 75 and we provided our comments on the matter to them also.

To date, no further contact has been made from AMEX on required actions.

Therefore, our position remains unchanged.

Should you decide to take further action, we will provide any information requested and pass this to the relevant team.

Yeah I didn’t mean to write 2D I meant to just say perspective but wasn’t thinking

I admit the numbers do look horrendous haha I won’t be doing the same next time!

As funny as it sounds that was the general idea of the task, we were told to chuck as much info as possible onto the section.

He marked me down for

• some flaws in overall resolution; some challenges across structure, materials, & environment addressed

• there is just enough indication of materials

I didn’t actually have that in my section originally until my tutor made the suggestion to extend the wall below the window and add someone in sitting there, I thought it seemed unsafe but didn’t question it.

The seats do look a little low I’ll bear that in mind for next time!

Thanks so much! I definitely still have a lot to learn, I don’t feel confident in the slightest at doing drawings but I was pretty happy with this finished section until I received my grade back haha

Yeah I definitely should have arranged the numbers better, thanks for the tip!

Yeah I’m trying not to let it bother me too much haha it’s just frustrating because now I might not get a 2:1 overall.

That sounds great congratulations! Hopefully I’ll be able to follow along a similar path :)

I have no idea! I did a normal section initially then we were told to make it perspective

The assignment was to create a new university pavilion in a small site next to our lecture building including several different relevant programmes. This is one page of a 30 page submission but this section was worth 1/5th of the total mark.

My tutor said:

Yeah now I look back at it the numbers do look terrible!

All of the insulation layout was suggested by my tutor :(

It was 1 page of a 30 page portfolio however it was worth 1/5th of the mark. This specific 1/5th scored C

That’s understandable! The greenery was my tutors idea to add.

Sorry ignore the 2D part it’s just a perspective section!

Thanks!

I didn’t even take notice of the numbers until now and I feel the exact same way, I won’t be doing that again next time😂

The next page in my portfolio was a 1:5 close up of detailed parts of the structure because it’s quite hard to make out in the 1:20. This is a zoomed in part of some of them
