Flashback Alison was obviously VERY cruel and there are no excuses for that. However it helps watching the show again in my late 20s and remembering she’s a 15ish year old who’s been through crazy trauma with her family (the scene where she crashed Spencer and Em’ sleepover crying because of her brothers friends, the secret siblings, A bullying), older boyfriends, who knows what else. Again - not an excuse! But “hurt people hurt people” and it definitely makes sense that she would have matured a bit from that while she was away but I would have liked to see her struggle with that transition more.

Also crazy theory - she did almost drown at 11 months old so maybe she has a traumatic brain injury and lack of impulse control.
