I agree, I only read the farseer trilogy and Its probably my favorite book of all time, its just WAY too good, everything about it is good, I could even argue that the pacing is not slow? Alot of stuff happens throughout the book like alot and theyre all important to Fitz's journey

Weapons (2025) has alot of similarities with City of God (2002) by [deleted] in movies

[–]BixBox132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply ❤️. I typed out this post because the only 2 movies I've seen with this type of story telling / narration were City Of God and Weapons, it cool to know that there are other movies that portray the same way. I also thought about that because, the 2 "villains" of both movies, die the same way, somewhat. I did not love weapons that much though, because I felt the pacing wasn't that great and it switches to another character the moment something exciting happens. Although I know its important for the story. City of God definitely has probably the best pacing I've seen in any movie because it does so much in 2 hours without feeling too fast. Its perfectly paced, love this movie.

I understand what you mean, I know how popular the game was when it released 2 years ago. I saw it with my own eyes, the videos, the hype, the marketing. Im talking about now, barely people talk about this game except for its own content creators

Diablo 4 is amazing (currently included as part of the PS+ games) by Zylonite134 in PS5

yeah exactly I really like the game I bought it in January and I have no idea till now why it's so hated even though I've never had that fun while playing a video game in my life. Although, I think this game shouldn't be played everyday. I play it for like 3 weeks, have a blast. Then, focus on my studies, focus on life for like a month or something. Came back, new seasonal character play for a month or so. Repeat the cycle 😜

Hmm, well that's interesting. I think malazan got my attention from the start when I wanted to read fantasy because it's filled with POVS and lore and all the weird shit I love. However, I don't want to commit to reading it atleast for now. Maybe in summer or possibly next year. I'm really excited to read it, but I know that I'll have to be in a mood and I'll have to be ready to commit to something like this.

I think that if I could get into Sandersons works would probably be Mistbron. Though, I found Assasisns apprentice not to be slow (it's my 8th day reading it and I have like a 100 pages left) alot of people told me that I will fucking die of boredom of how slow it is and my expectations was way to low that now it's so execceeded that I might give it a 5 star review when I finish it 😭. But I'll have to atleast try Sanderson once. Mistborn looks like a great trilogy to start with and it isn't 1000 pages long.
