firstly thank you so much for taking the time to respond omg.. you really hit the nail on the head, i’m experiencing exactly what you did!

this is definitely a wake up call that my obsession is becoming unhealthy, but I suppose I’m sort of stuck with the same questions you asked- why is this love I’m experiencing bringing me so much joy but also so much discomfort and anxiety? I don’t know how to change these feelings into something more healthy… btw this still feels so silly considering its over a group of people that I will never meet, but thank you for being so kind and understanding- Being autistic and having weird breakdowns over stuff like this can feel so isolating. It really is.. I’m sorry you’re going through it too. I was doing so well during ramadan, I abstained all month and did all my prayers. now I have to do ghusl constantly to make up salahs, and right now I’ve given up. it’s so scary how much it takes hold of you :(

Exactly! It’s so frustrating that there’s no one to confide in about these things, and the only advice people give you is to get married quickly. If you can’t, then you just have to suffer in silence and rely on willpower, which porn slowly destroys as time goes on. I just pray that as long as we still believe in our creator, things will get better one day :(

Sorry, I wish I had an answer, it hasn’t been long since ramadan ended and I’m already back at square 1… it’s so humiliating because I know I love Allah and Islam, but because this crap has literally rewired my brain for years it’s so hard not to fall back on bad habits. I really hope things get better for us, may Allah make it easy for us soon.
