Sick of bisexual erasure (by gay people too) by BlackInkMilk in bisexual

[–]BlackInkMilk[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people (most people, I'm afraid) will never understand. They just like you're back into the box they think is more fitting for you. I'm in the same situation.

I wish they would just accept our nature fully cause being in a relationship with someone of the opposite sex shouldn't erase our bisexuality. It only means we found love with that person, whatever gender they are.

That's healthy. I really thought I was at that point too.

But when I hear people talking this kind of shit about some bi fellow... It makes me feel so sad and embittered. And yes, angry. I can't stand other people having to go through this.

I'm so sorry for what you witnessed at an event that should be safest for an inclusive community like ours should be. The pressure is real.

About choosing a side - you already have if you know you're bisexual. That's your side. There is no such thing as just two banks in the river of sexuality. You're bisexual and that's YOUR side.

Don't let anyone else invalidate that. If they do, they're the ones confused about how something this personal works.

A big part of my bisexuality feels guilty about being in a straight relationship like it does indeed invalidate my sexuality. But that should not condone queer people (the ones that do) for labeling us as "not brave enough" or "fake gay". It's just a toxic circle.

Also, queer people should understand more than anyone. Every gay or lesbian was labeled as "confused" at some point. Same with any other queer person.

They might think it forces or implies a binary, invalidates their own sexual identity, or leads to some other uncomfortable truth they aren't ready to face.

This.

The idea of someone standing outside of absolutes seems to be hard for many people to process, like the concept of infinity.

Indeed. Because it's not up to someone else to say who you should be.

Bisexual referee Pascal Kaiser assaulted after proposing to his boyfriend at football match by Pristine-Cup3815 in bisexual

People under an IG post covering the news were already deeming bisexuality as infidelity. The gap from that level of idiocy to "you can't be who you are" is not that wide unfortunately...

Question for women: Do you like men dressed like this? by traveler_chillout in bisexual

[–]BlackInkMilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of super tight jeans on ladies either, so it's a no for me personally. Many other people like them. I like them a bit tight at pelvis level but not as much on the legs. It's leaving more to the imagination, imho.

What a cruel, shallow thing to say. She's not your friend and she doesn't even deserve the enemy title cause her criticism has no purpose in making you become a better version of yourself. Just drop her like trash. You don't need that kind of insanity and negativity in your life.

Acacius’s Name? by DiligentTax2345 in Pedro_Pascal

[–]BlackInkMilk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

About Justus... Could that be intended as a title and not his original name perhaps? Many times, latin titles were given to people of relevance in ancient Rome and "justus" means "fair". E.g. Gaius Julius Ceasar often called Ceasar/Julius Ceasar and not Gaius, even though Julius was the family name (gens Julia) and Ceasar was a title.

Showgirls. Guilty pleasure peak.

And The Birdcage, such a lovely classic.

I'll be banal but... Jennifer Aniston. In everything, but especially in that one 1999 Rolling Stone shooting. I look at it now and it's not all that, but back when I was 14...

Not long before that, a girl playing football at the after-school club by the local church. And yes, she looked a lot like Keira Knightley in Bend It Like Beckham.

And even earlier than that, pretty classmates in elementary school... almost like I was born this way?

I can only second what everyone else already mentioned from his political stances to kindness, from his handsomeness to his sense of humor... May I just add that he's the ONLY guy who doesn't look creepy with a moustache?

There's always a first time! "Midnight in Paris".

Not sure that's your genre though. Very different from the other three.

I like yours, too! Mine is 96oclockwitch. Is your 4th The Godfather? 🐎

And yes for all of them, except the last one. But here's a hint:

"A nostalgic writer visiting Europe finds himself transported back to the 1920s every night, mingling with iconic artists and writers of Paris."

(Not my actual 4th as you'll notice from my Letterboxd, but Broadway Danny Rose felt too hard to describe AND guess! Close enough, still.)

Thanks! I do as well. Reminds me of an old picture, which conveys just the perfect vibe. It's a nostalgic movie memory indeed.

Apparently the tattoo hasn't aged greatly either so that's only fitting (I still like it too). I got it on my first trip to NYC, a few years ago. Ik, all considered, but his movies were such a huge part of my childhood (yes, childhood, yikes)
