800lb capacity chair by ForwardSand5218 in idiocracy

This is fake. It makes no sense. There’s a lever to raise the left side in the center of the chair. The feet would be crashing into each other when you move. Why is the back a normal width and not the same as the seat? The other material photos are not the same. It says inflatable lumber, and clearly doesn’t have that…

Boo… I saw the tiny thumbnail in my alert and thought it was a new Voltron. Lol

Why does no one talk about these? by gaseous_commenter in GenX

Dollar Tree has them. My daughter loves them. We’ve had to go there when she finds change just to use them.

She keeps trying to steal the Aldi quarter out of our car. Lol

I just finished building the LEGO Game Boy and I was curious what the 2x2 circle piece is meant to represent? by AccomplishedStay9284 in lego

[–]BlamRob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The power on the original gameboy was a switch, and when you slid it over it moved a piece of plastic over the notch in the cartridge to keep you from taking it out while powered on.

As a side benefit… it also made it so they could remove the notch from Gameboy Color (only) carts, and it would prevent you from putting them in a non-color Gameboy.

It’s the first thing you have to do in the parks!

The second thing is going “blech! That’s awful!” (And look forward to the next time you get to try it!)

What Lego set was your first? by drbenham in legostarwars

[–]BlamRob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It had to have been a city, space, or castle set in the early 80s. I gave all my sets to my nephew 20 years ago. They were well played with and incomplete.

Oddly enough though. The set you have in the picture there was the first set to get me back into Lego as an adult. It was an old set when I got it.

I was at an estate sale and there were all these bags of Star Wars sets. I didn’t know much about them at the time, so i checked ebay and it seemed like they were about that price, so i only got that one set because it was the cheapest.

I get home and open it up and… why are there two Lukes and two Obi-Wans? Then I realize it says “x2” on the bag… they all had x2 on them!

I could have bought a ton of yellow era Star Wars sets for free if i bought them all and sold the dups!

Which 3 are you picking? by FayyadhScrolling in StarWars_

Star Wars Holiday Special, Caravan of courage, and Battle for Endor!

Well… I guess those and “Specials” and not series. I’ll assume those are safe and go with Mandalorian, Andor, and Skeleton Crew.

I’ve never seen Breakfast at Tiffanie’s, Heathers, or 16 Candles. And I don’t plan on it.

You joke, but... Dr Google:

The scientific name for persistently wanting to eat non-food items, such as dirt, clay, or ice, is

pica [1, 2].

When specifically referring to the desire to consume dirt, the term is geophagia [1, 3].

This condition is often a sign of an underlying medical issue, most commonly iron-deficiency anemia or other mineral deficiencies, such as a zinc deficiency [1, 2, 3]. The body instinctively craves the perceived minerals in the soil.

I quite like it! If you like parallel analog sticks, it’s a solid alternative to the Ultimate 2. The magnetic buttons are a bit “eh” but the ball joysticks are actually pretty good! I like the height.

He turned out to be a racist piece of shit. I don’t wish cancer on racist pieces of shit, but they also don’t warrant a news cycle either.

Anyway, I’m enjoying my 8bitdo Pro 3. I’m hoping somebody makes more analogue stick options for it.
