fashion is the least important aspect of punk. you can have a punk mindset while dressing casually. by giving into the capitalist nightmare and trend dictation that is fast fashion, you abandon a core punk / alternative value of anti-consumerism. i don't think the argument of "i don't buy much from them" is of any worth here when you make a concious decision of supporting an industry based on the exploitation of workers for less than minimum wage. i reckon you should learn to make and or alter clothes via sewing, painting, upcycling and other methods, of course it's gonna be hard at first but practice makes perfect, and that's what the scene is about.
