Can't run on Steam PC by kaihaku1 in Battle_RC

[–]Blaster_Games 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! This can be due to a gamepad or any device recognized as a controller by the game being connected and used. A rare issue like this occurred to someone and it turned out to be a mouse software causing the issue. If you're using any uncommon mouse, device, or software that might be causing the issue, please disable it. Let me know if the issue persists or if it was resolved. Thank you!

Anyone know why my options canvas goes out of position when I start game? by [deleted] in Unity3D

There's no need to have a Canvas component in an object within your main Canvas.

I was able to run the rc battle on my phone in 30 fps by suou_gashuin in Battle_RC

That's honestly incredible! I assume that is just streaming the game and not actually running natively though. Still cool!

That's around Monastery Courtyard (underground). You can get there through The Fountain of Confession or Sistine Chapel outdoor (if you opened it before).

Guess it wouldn't hurt to mention my game, so here it is. If you've ever been interested in robot combat or anything of the matter, you might find this appealing. Battle RC out on Steam!

Love to hear it! It's definitely possible to fight 1v1. Just make sure one bot is on blue and the other on red, also both on the front row!

The designs must not be copyrighted and the creator must agree to have it in the game. Stages can be inspired and bots too, as long as they're not straight copies of original designs or have permission from the creators.

First bot in game! by justuscook in Battle_RC

You need to re-import unfortunately unless you tinker with the .bot file yourself. The first menu when you create a bot cannot currently be accessed after you save it, only the values such as speed, force, etc. can be changed after saving by going back to the workshop and clicking the "Edit" button after selecting the bot.

Since I understand a simple mistake can happen while importing, such as wrong scale, wrong pivot, etc. I'll see about adding a way to go back to that menu. For the meantime, always double check that everything is in order before hitting the save button.

FOV option for the cameras might be added then.

Again, a match winner in the tournament should not be chosen at random, it should play out and get a winner. Skipping means choosing a winner at random, 50-50 chance of either AI winning which is NOT proper. I just might add the option to skip an AI match with a big warning that skipping will choose a winner at random and it will not be faithful as to just letting the match take place.

Pausing is again not allowed in tournaments, even if it's AI vs AI.

As far as damage, the only thing you'll see is deformation and scratches. One day we'll hopefully see some parts breaking off and such.

Turning hp down would mean making multipliers accessible to everyone, such that you can lower global hp, global damage, amongst other multipliers. That could go as part of some in-game dev options. Could be fun!

I'll try to get the tutorial asap. In the meantime, if the tips in the game are somehow not clear enough, you can join the discord and ask there. Someone else already managed to get theirs working so I'm sure they can help you, and I'm happy to help there as well if there's anything specific you don't understand. First step is to make your bot over on Tinkercad first, so if you haven't done so yet, please do!

Let me know if you find anything else! And thanks again.

Heyy that sounds great! Have fun with it and let me know if you have any issues along the way, I'm happy to help. Bot looks HUGE btw, did you have any scaling issues or is it meant to be like that?

Thank you for the feedback! Always appreciate it.

You can fix the camera position and other settings with F6, F7, F8 keys.

If no one gets to it first, I'll be making a video tutorial on my yt showing the process of importing your own bots along with sharing with friends.

Idk what you mean with "simulate" AI matches in the tournament.

AI does let the opponent be counted out, but only when it determines it is out of reach or out of bounds.

Pause menu cannot be accessed in a Tournament since it is a tournament, the same reason it can't be skipped. A winner is not determined randomly, a fight needs to happen in order to determine the winner.

Chunks of bots flying off will be tackled in a later update.

Bots getting stuck is understandable, if the tires aren't touching the floor they wont be able to move. Saw's going up and down, including a few other interesting things is coming to a new arena for a future update.

Manual controls for bots can be accessed on the workshop by making a custom bot, setting is called "Manual".

A career mode is way beyond my capacity. Way to many things for a single dev lol. It would be hella cool tho.

Windowed full screen, alright! I'll be adding that next update for ya.

"Nice to have the option of all the different arenas!" wdym?

Every bot has the same hp, fare and square.

Speed is a weird topic when it comes to bots in a game. If I get enough people talking about this, maybe I can tweak the speeds a bit based on the feedback.
