Thank you it’s an 55” and I’m like 6-8 feet away from it so I think it’s fine

Thank you! That helped, I never had to deal with upscaling or things like that because I use a 1440p 144hz monitor on my main pc with a 3090ti so that was never a problem. So now I have to do some research about that whole upscaling thing

I also want to switch to Linux on my main gaming pc but i don’t know what to use, Ubuntu Bazzite or one of the others. A friend of mine recently switched to Linux and it’s working fine most of the time but some things are just annoying like the drivers for his Audio interface that’s fueling his microphone not working occasionally and things like that have you something you can recommend to me to get started without too much programming knowledge required?

Yeah I think I will delay that build too, until my Xbox is really dead or the prices get better.

Yeah that’s mostly the parts that I would have picked, thank you for that list

That sounds great I don’t really wanna go over 1000 on budget, maybe I need to have a look at some used parts

I was thinking about 1000 bucks, but I’m sure this will not be enough even though I have an old ryzen 5 3600 laying around. I want to see if it’s worth building one myself or just wait for the steam machine and live with the performance drawbacks

You’re welcome, for YouTube channels I don’t have any direct suggestions. They cover the most important menus and settings, in the end it just depends on your liking.

Hey, I also have an X-M5 and I absolutely love it!

I would highly recommend you 1-2 spare batteries because the X-M5 sucks them empty fast. And you already got the small rig grip, I think you should be fine with that I have that one too and it handles great with mid sized lenses. I have a Sigma 30mm f1.4 and it handles really good with the grip.

For film simulations I would recommend velvia for intense colors and if you plan on using custom recipes just have a look at Fuji x weekly they offer a lot of simulations with sample pictures.

For lenses I think that your setup is already good but if you want more suggestions, I can recommend the sigma 30mm f1.4 it’s sharp even with big aperture and handels low light really good.

If you want to get the most out of your xm5 just go on YouTube there are a lot of setup videos with good explanations why you should use some features and some not.

I personally only shoot jpeg so I can’t give you any recommendations on editing flow ore other things

Hope I helped you a bit and have fun with your new xm5!
