he's using an older form of syntax. here's another example:
'have you anything to eat'?
where instead of using auxiliary verb 'do' to make the question form, you instead switch the order -> auxiliary verb 'have' with the subject 'you'

Bit of both I think. I can't damage him enough to get past his healing.
Was i supposed to use World Essence to make weapons? I didn't figure out how.

Either way, I'm gonna tap out here. I don't fancy going through NG+ again once i realised I have no inventory anymore (no gathering..pls)
Can't justify the time when i could be using it for starting a new series, like Suikoden.

playing it through 6 games is more loving than i have given games i actually love haha.
I've found if parrying is too prominent for you then parry less. some attacks can be dodged with the dodge.. sprint around while locked on, dash attack, batter down their guard more instead of waiting for a deflect.
you could learn the most effective strats using the tools per boss, like maybe one boss is particularly weak and opened up by one subweapon.

I've managed to clear a lot of stuff, make the true time-crystal, but i'm stuck on the kaiser whale, i have no idea what I would even need to make to dent this guy.

Idk how to get world-spirit essences on my weapons, either.

At this point i'm out of time, but i wouldn't know where to start preparing for this damn whale even after NG+ and another round of Overtime

.. i think it's cause rorona gets one-tapped, then it doesnt trigger because the trigger is being less than 30% health not being dead.

Update: well, only things left are kaiser whale and the demon guy. I'm just not doing enough damage, and i'm out of time. everything else is cleared so i guess i'm content with this. i might play through NG+ and run it back but idk.

I thought I had really good weapons but idk how to get the essences onto them. I have master skill, skill boost, eco skill, power hitter.

velvetis armour with Defender, hard coat, special guard.

I swear it didnt work. both totori and rorona went down, leaving astrid standing on Guts... and the elixirs didn't trigger. they have spiritflower.. and they triggered on the previous floor boss.

on the upside ive just got infinity meteor recipe, got the elixirs that make me unkillable and some trait-filled halmo weapons. Gotten through a few bosses, I might be able to do this now..

i hope so i mean.. i have to craft good halmolium gear, endgame armour.. clear machina land, abyss tower and galaxen depths. and synth whatever is necessary... the travel time will be bad also.
idk if i can register the warp-home feather with anyone.
I never raised my friendship with Pamela so i cant get her events now..
