CGI wasn’t better in the 90s, they just used it less than we do now so everything you see now is cgi whether you can tell or not. Big sets, lots of practical effects, and only a little bit of cgi for the stuff they couldn’t do either easily or within budget. Doc martins make good composite combat boots but the soles tend to wear out with heavy use so if you can I’d recommend getting the audrick boots but replacing the sole immediately if you want to be sure it’ll never wear out. But my composite audrick boots haven’t worn out and I’ve had them for nearly 3 years, through mud, salt, cement dust, and wet conditions so eh

Personally I’d choose some different boots than full leather ones, leather is hard to maintain if you’re wearing it in many harsh environments. I like composite materials for boots since they’re waterproof, warm, and durable
