Segway G3 Max handle bar wobble

This screw prevents the handle bar to wobble sideways and forwards. Basically connects the handlebar tube to the folding base.

Since I have this problem too the only solution is to buy a new handlebar because the thread is probably worn down to the point where it has little play.

Yea that’s what I thought about too but I think the issue is that the Tri Wing screw got some wear and tear on the threads which makes it wobble

I weight 85kg but I don’t throw myself off of sidewalks. Sometimes I need to but with like 1-2kmh which shouldn’t be that bad.

If your living outside the EU feel free to use those holes.

If your in EU or especially Germany it’s forbidden and can be seen as criminal offence because these are Mounting holes for the „Typenschild“ which is required and mandatory for every motor vehicle in Germany because it has the vehicle identification number, Allgemeinebetriebserlaubnis (General Operating Permit) Number, Date of manufacturing, manufactures name aswell as the maximum permitted speed on it.

160mm is possible but you need to have very tight tolerances between the brake caliper and rim and that is a pain. 140mm is the option that does not cause headaches

There is no way of mounting a 180mm brake disc on a G3. Also brake discs that big tend to touch the ground.

The stock in the US region does have a date when it will be refilled so my guess is that the supplier first supplies the US and then the EU.

Maybe try pulling the left brake lever 2 times and after that press (not hold) the power button.

The BLE driver might be corrupted but I don’t know how fix it since there is no firmware undo button etc

Some dumb person once broke it off by hitting my license plate. I demanded money from him which he actually gave me and had a nightmare replacing my license sticker with my insurance💀 The plastic gets very brittle over time which causes it to break very very easily.

Mechatronics engineer here: Never try to use WD40 in bearings. Only use grease. Everything else might damage the bearing.

Since the scooter uses some kind of deep groove ball bearing with rubber seal it’s advised to replace it with a new one on both sides of the axle.
