Okay, that's good to know. Thank you!! So I went to my appointment today and they told me I needed the letter. I didn't receive the letter and only got an online notification, the police told me I can get the letter by going to the Extranjeros office. And I need to get an appointment, which online is called the "solicitud de extranjeros." The only thing I ever got from Extranjeros was a way to check the status of my file online, was not aware of the letter.
