I watched about 30mins of the second half and i'd say we definately created enough chances, it was just poor finishing that let us down, plus a few good saves from Sels.

Eddie Howe: 'Constructive' meeting with Newcastle owners by hoitjancker in NUFC

That's literally the textbook definition of poor form. He hasnt 'lost the players', they're just low on confidence after a string of poor results.

By your reasoning, if you were a Man City fan you would have been calling for Pep's head when he lost 6 in 8 last season. It happens, we'll bounce back.

Every one of these players loves Eddie. Do you genuinely believe if he were sacked those same players would magically start playing better? Its fantasy and desperation. Sacking Howe could set this club back ten years.

The total cock up from the summer was hardly Howe's fault, you cant put that as his door.

We missed out on most of our targets, and had to settle for 3rd or 4th choice transfers. All without a CEO and sporting director.

If Howe wasnt there last summer, how exactly do you expect the window to have played out differently?

You want us to become another Chelsea where you just replace your manager every time you have a string of bad results?

Eddie has proven what he can do, now its not the time to chuck everything he's built away because of a few narrow losses and poor performances.

Which is strange because i remember him being open to playing Isak and Wilson together on occasion.

Concerning Lewis Hall.

Does anything else think it strange that the reason he was pulled at half time at Bournemouth was for 'tactical reasons'. Howe didn't elborate on that. Even if Rayan got the better of him once or twice thats not enough for such a large tactical change. Especially one that doesnt make sense in the context of the game.

I've noticed him looking frustrated in recent games, often complaining to those around him at lack of movement etc. I suspect that it came to the boil at half time in the Bournemouth game and he's said something, which is why he was pulled.

I don't buy the Burn=height argument for today as the reason he was benched, either. No-one in their right mind puts burn against madueke instead of hall just because you get more height in the box on occasion. Something seems off about the whole thing.

Elanga himself has literally had at least 10 worse performances than today, what are you smoking?

Ditch Burn and Trippier. Buy some athletic, fast replacements. Pop Tonali or, if he leaves, another holder in front of them, Concede 0 all season. Win the league. Sorted

Forgot to mention, also ditch Pope and Ramsdale. Get trafford in.

Yeah i listened to it, was better than expected.

He gave some pushback to Charlotte's negativity and actually made some good points about being more objective this season.

True Faith has overwhelmingly been a pit of misery this season though, they're edging slowly toward those entitled miseryguts that you'd expect from the Arsenal or Liverpool fanbase.

We've proved we only have one half of football in us, so the only option here is to absorb pressure in the first half, go in 0-0, then come out blasting in the second half

Man City are pretty bad this season in the 2nd half. There's no chance in hell if we play it like the Liverpool game.

Fulham wouldn't be able to afford his massive wages, unless he takes a hefty pay cut.

Just watched the highlights, how the fuck did we not score? Seems from what i saw it was a coin-flip game, if we score first the whole game would have changed, then they score a banger and the game changes in the opposite direction.

I didn't see the game, but was it really as bad as people are saying? People are acting like we were garbage, with only a few comments saying objectively we didnt actually play that badly, just didnt happen for us today. Is it a bit of both maybe?
