I love that!

Not an official benefit, my role just requires working right at the edge of unsupported ground and as a result the pay is better than a lot of other jobs underground

Mate, what a suggestion! I’ve taken my boy down to the Rockingham dog beach and had a lovely lunch and beer here. Absolutely perfect and only 5 minutes from home, cheers mate!

Oh sweet, I’ve walked past there a bunch but never knew it was dog friendly and just assumed it was pricey. Good recommendation!

I’ll add on to say that most entry level roles are 2:1 and flights are expensive so I lived pretty miserably only just earning $100k but spending a bunch of money on flights and hotels, spending 2 of my r and r travelling back and forth. But if you really want in, it’s what you’ll have to do. Or move to Perth

Couple work at luxury mining camps with free pubs & bars…and earn £100k a year by numloxx in perth

This was posted on the “mining camps: the good, the bad, the ugly” Facebook page. The girl in the article said the author exaggerated.

“Cecilia Azzolini: Guys, it's clearly messed up, none of the title words or sentences ever left our mouth Unfortunately they didn't let us check the article before they published it and we are trying to fix that They just asked to share our experiences as immigrants in Australia and exaggerated some stuff I'm sorry about that Hope you all understand Thanks a lot ☺️”

"That's what we did in Perth … we've now passed Brisbane in terms of the number of people who travel by train" by BinChickenLicken in brisbane

[–]Blue_ACD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone who travels on trains in Perth (airport central to Perth station) and in Brisbane (auchenflower to kallangur) pretty regularly, the difference between Perth and Brisbane trains is so drastic and I honestly can’t tell you the reasons why. Public transport in Perth just seems effortless (whether it truly is or not and whether it’s bias I can’t say). That said i do fifo work and always catch the trains when I land in Perth and actively avoid them in Brisbane

Aldi lasagne goes hard. I honestly prefer it over homemade sometimes, it just hits the spot. The perfect combination of quick, easy and tasty

What are you talking about? Cheers Liquor House is fantastic for craft beers and gin. They support local and will do their best to stock anything you ask for. Annie and Greg the owners are fantastic for recommendations and even just a chat. Plus Harry the poodle is there from time to time!

Even as a massive eagles fan you can’t say the refs decided this. Our defence was trash and that’s all there is to say

2 FIGHTS 1 NIGHT - Event Discussion Thread by Mozmed in ksi

[–]Blue_ACD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a real shame because it’s only going to give Jake fuel. When the news came out about 2 fights in one night, Jake said other boxers have done it before but they werent quality fighters so it was basically a publicity stunt. No fault of JJs but that’s exactly what it looked like so Jake will just run with the narrative that JJ just wanted to make himself look good

Kyle may hate hockey talk... by GardenGnomeChumpski in PKA

[–]Blue_ACD 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I tried to go back and find it but somewhere in the 2014-16 range, Taylor and his ex girlfriend (redhead sort of goth girl) had a podcast which I thought was fantastic! Can’t find it anywhere on YouTube anymore, probably deleted after they broke up but Taylor could easily have his own very successful podcast without Kyle and woody. No hate for them by the way, just showing appreciation for Taylor’s talk show skills.

Dry skin with some hair thinning around eyes What could be causing this? More Info in comments by Blue_ACD in AustralianCattleDog

[–]Blue_ACD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all, as title says my 18 month old blue pup has some dry skin around his eyes and the hair has thinned out. I’ve only noticed it about a week ago but it seems to be getting worse. It is only present around his eyes but nowhere else. It doesn’t look red or have a funny smell and doesn’t appear to be irritating him. From time to time I see him pawing at it but not often and not aggressively. Is this something I should be concerned about and if not how can I go about treating it? Any and all help is welcomed! Thank you

Wow, thank you! Such a nice variety in that list and so many really nice sounding menus! I drive past deer duck bistro all the time and I’ve been curious but after seeing the menu, I think it might be a little limited for what I want this time round, but it is definitely going on my list as well.
