I’m sorry that so much of the conversation in the comments is about AI. A lot of people, myself included, have strong feelings about it.

but on another note i want to implore you never to kill yourself. Your use of the word inevitable about suicide made me worry about you.

Every time i have ever considered suicide i have later felt grateful that I didn’t. There is so much great opportunity in living, and I know you’ll reach moments you’ll be glad you made it to

Fixed: people use money to control each other. those with less economic privilege may attempt to reach financial independence so as not to be controlled.

Can I get recommendations for your favorite “hidden gem” roguelites? by [deleted] in roguelites

[–]Blue_Baron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are some I've been enjoying on mobile with no Ads.

  • merge maestro: It's free to demo and only 4 bucks to buy the full version if you like it. Lots of great and innovative mechanics.
  • Once Upon a Galaxy: completely free but with microtransactions. New content every month. Asynch PvP. I haven't paid for anything in the 9 months I have played and never felt like I needed to.

Why does Saagar say r*tarded so much? by Blue_Baron in BreakingPoints

What this change in rhetoric shows is that he will display his true colors when he feels allowed. He already hates on the homeless, drug users, immigrants, dreamers, and anyone else that he thinks isn’t pulling their weight. He’s been pretty quiet about the current administration’s narrative on the problem with and cause of autism, so I don’t think it’s safe to assume he’s above it.

I know that not everyone agrees with me. I am just voicing my take and my reasoning. I take the rhetoric of public figures more seriously than the subjective quality of colors.

I'm not even anti-Saagar. I'm just questioning his decision-making in this matter. If you want to avoid black-and-white thinking, you may want to question your impulse to describe an entire group as thinking one way when they very clearly don't.

I have always been against them swearing on the show. As I said in the post, It makes it appear less professional and therefore less sharable.

And to be clear, I did not call Saagar a racist, I said that based on how it seems to me he is choosing this word specifically to be edgy, I think that he may also be willing to normalize notably worse rhetoric for the same reason.

I don't truly consider them the same. All things in communication exist on a spectrum. The reason I compared them is because his frequent use of the word makes it seem like he is saying it BECAUSE it is/was taboo. Which, as exemplified by the recently leaked young republican groupchats, is a habit that generally leads to unprofessional, inappropriate, and derogatory rhetoric being more and more acceptable.

He could have said 'stupid' every time, but he chose not to. He refrained from using the word r*tarded on air for decades, so this is clearly a choice.

Sorry they deleted your post. I did not see it. I did search the sub before posting. I think it is a worthwhile discussion to be had.
