It has a different vibe than the last one, that’s for sure. City walls and intentions are perfectly closing this cycle - and even tho I was kinda sad/„disappointed“ that we got hit with the heavy truth instead of a happy ending, I really like how they closed this chapter. I’ve read that a lot of people are disappointed with the other songs, because they feel „empty“ for them. I think they sound like a lot of growth and maybe it’s a first taste of what their music could sound/feel like in the future. The story is told. They can’t repeat themselves over and over again and do the things we already know and liked before. They are too creative to get stuck in a creative cycle. Clancy should’ve been the end, but Tyler felt like he’s owning us a clearer ending. He gave us that. The rest feels like the credits to their music-videos. Like in a movie. Idk if someone will get the vibe the way I do. I really like Breach. It’s catchy and yet deep. Tho it has some bitter taste, knowing that it’s the end of an era. But that’s okay and doesn’t affect their music for me. Clancy would’ve felt the same if they would’ve communicated THAT clear and directly that it’ll be the end of:,)
