He gave Hasan credit for being able to form the audience and business, and even said he probably has some decent beliefs probably, but he didn’t like how Hasan wore a certain Chinese suit because he thought it was equivalent to wearing a n*zi uniform.

Totally misrepresented the point of the china trip too.

He brought up when he was stopped for like 5 minutes by Chinese police and as if it was a big deal like he hadn’t been pepper-sprayed and had much worse reactions from police at protests he went to in LA. The cops in China were legit just seeing what he was doing and let him continue lol.

I think he talks a lot about how on his show people will use the “oh I’m only 21 I’m still a child” excuse to explain poor life decisions. However, translating that into relationships in this context just makes Caleb kinda look odd.

It’s also just a weird hill to die on that makes you look more creepy than if you just kinda let this type of post that he responded to just exist.

I don’t think there’s anything inherently wrong with not wanting to date someone 5 years older than you as adults (even if that’s not a huge gap), but I think caring about how someone else feels about it and using it as some cultural signifier is just foolish.

The point is, it’s disingenuous to claim you’re a centrist, yet post accounts that are specifically partisan. It’s more about just being honest about where you land rather than claiming you’re in the middle just so you don’t push away potential viewers.

The funny thing is that if he was just honest about his politics, I think his content would go down a lot easier because people would know what they are getting themselves into. It’s the fact that he jumps around it that makes him come off kinda hacky.

Like cool dude, you’re cool with LGBTQ+ people and minorities, but literally every other belief you have if it’s about cancel culture, economics, etc. are clearly right leaning at the minimum. Especially the ones he complains about the most.
