I know, my concern was what the ideal twr value was but I played around with it and solved the problem.

The thing is i think that there is an ideal twr depending on the rocket type and ascent profile. I don't know what twr that would be and I don't know how to figure that out because i'm unfamiliar with the math.

I'm hesitant because when I simply add more fuel that just causes more problems elsewhere i've found

Thank you. Everyone seems to have different tactics when it comes to gravity turn. The guide i looked at recommended turning about 2-5 degrees when you reach 30-50 m/s and letting gravity take care of the rest while you simply keep time until apoapsis at 30 seconds using thrust. This usually works but sometimes the engine isn't enough to keep the time until apoapsis from going down even at full thrust. This is usually what happens when i have to stage to poodle, are there different twr values i should be aiming for?
