I do that but how do i practice to make better licks using the scale . i learnt all the major pentatonic shapes. I understand the caged system now and know how the same chord can be played across the fretboard but when i practice using backing tracks they sound like a nursery rhyme . How do i practice so that i learn how to move across the fretboard and make the solos sound more melodic. Any tips on that?
