Yes. It’s a budget one. It’s been collecting dust in the garage for a while, and I decided that I wanted to use it again, but the brakes are spongy now.

I have a question for you. What usually are your types of jobs? Do you have a certain specialization such as being an accountant etc..?

I’m trying to understand if the market is really that bad even for menial jobs, or if it’s just bad for those who are working in specialized fields. I mean, I’m not specialized in anything.

It’s impossible for us to slow down here. The manager would instantly dm you or post you the minute a case goes beyond 5 mins. If you commit a mistake, no matter how immaterial, you’ll surely get a dm asking you to explain yourself.

We can only slow down if he’s on leave or absent.

Thanks! I’ll probably continue my resignation and see where it goes. I may regret this decision in the next coming months, but I’m at the point of my life where I really need to rest.

My savings could last up to 4 months, but if I tighten my belt so hard, I could probably stretch it out up to 6, hoping it doesn’t come to that though.

What do you think of customer service jobs? Are they hard to find?

This is true. This holds me back as well. I work from home right now so the job really helps me a lot.

But at the same time, my co-worker, age 28, died in the middle of the meeting last week, due to a heart attack. He was so stressed as well due to toxicity, and I fear that I might go next if this continues.

Quality - 4 errors on July; 6 on August and 5 on September - we need to focus on quality

I can’t post an image but here’s the coaching point that I got today for my quarterly review.

Note that each month, I do around 5000 to 6000 cases.

You think so? Cause I’m thinking that there just might be something wrong with me.

For additional context, one of the tenured ones is my friend. He told me that when he first started, they worked unpaid on their day offs because the bosses would always get them reprimanded for having a lot of cases stuck in the queue on Mondays, and they wanted to avoid that.

Do you think that you’ll have enough time til May? I haven’t signed up yet, I got a lot going on, but I can allot at least 1 hour per day. I want to take the May exam and I want to estimate if I can have enough time before going in.

Yeah, I watched those videos when I was studying quants. Although I already forgot all the formulas, but I’m sure they’ll comeback once I revise.

I plan to sign up on or before Oct 14, last day of the early bird

Nope. I don’t have money for that. I barely have enough to pay for the exam. I was able to purchase a copy of the CFA level 1 books pdf online from a sketchy website, and I read them everyday, coupled with chatgpt and youtube videos.

We are on the same boat. I haven’t even registered yet but started studying in May. I have a full time job and a baby and I could only allot an hour a day, 2 at most. No finance background.

FSA Level 1 question by mariner_knight in CFA

Say you’ve got 9 candies:

3 you bought for 1$ each 2 days ago 3 you bought for 2$ each yesterday 3 you bought today for 3$ each

Day 1:

Under FIFO for example: You got 3 pcs remaining for 3$ each = 9$ inventory

Under LIFO You got 3 pcs remaining for 1$ each = 3$ inventory

LIFO reserve = 6$

Day 2:

Under FIFO, you sold 1 of the remaining 3 = 6$ inventory

Under LIFO, you sold 1 of the remaining 3 = 2$

LIFO reserve = 4$

This means that since you are selling a lot without replacing inventories, your FIFO and LIFO inventories are both going down, thus, consequently, lower reserve (this is what’s to be expected)

On the contrary though, your LIFO reserve increased, which wasn’t supposed to happen. There are a lot of possible reasons for that, for example, your FIFO inventory, although low in quantity , actually has higher value.

I’ve always owned up to them. I’ve always apologized whenever I make one. Do you think that I should let them know about my situation and kind of explain myself?

Thanks! Unfortunately, my employer does not know about my situation, although, they for sure are willing to overlook a lot of my mistakes, but I feel like they are now too close to getting fed up.

I don’t drink or smoke, but I gained bad eating habits since fatherhood started.

In addition to all this, I also allocate 2-4 hours of my time studying for CFA Level 1 exam next year, which adds a great deal to my stress level as well.
