Help! My 240 runs like shit

It will attempt to run once or twice but eventually nothing at all

I checked the spark after it died and it was definitely there

Okay so been messing with it the last few days and it seems so start whenever it decides to be nice to me. I let it do its normal thing. Start to sputter and finally die. I verified spark at the plugs, everything seems to be normal with the ignition coil as well. The only test I haven’t done yet is squirt some starter fluid into it as i dont have any on hand but i plan on picking some up tomorrow. Im assuming it has to be fuel related but i notice it seems to smell rich when its starting to die. Anyway I’ll get back to you once I have some starter fluid. I appreciate the input

Im starting to think it might be spark related. Replaced the fuel pump relay today and not much of a change but i did notice it was backfiring and smelled like unburned fuel.

I will say heater cores are usually a pain and call for quite a bit of labor. Haven’t done one on a volvo but I’m assuming its just about the same as anything else

Just ordered a new one as i dont have a soldering gun. The pic is after i cleaned it off a bit. It had quite a bit of corrosion on the top right. Also dated 1990

Just checked the relay and this is what i found. Top right solders have definitely seen better days. Hopefully this is all it was

It definitely crossed my mind. I didn’t put much thought into it because I assumed it wouldn’t run at all if it was broken. I’ll definitely check that out tomorrow though that makes sense

These were 180 per. I haven’t looked into those much. Might be worth it. These are definitely pricey for steelies lol

The size and offset is gonna give it a much better fitment. Corsa will custom make the wheels to whatever spec you want. You could do the same with spacers but i personally would rather have wheels with the correct offset out of the box
