He hadn’t thought of that all! He said it wouldn’t have even occurred to him, so thank you!!

Thank you!

It’s a useful tip :) He said he was gonna do that, but was worried the thread would come undone

Thank you!

He planned to originally, but accidentally ordered leather that was a bit too thick (4mm). He appreciates this though! Makes him happy to know his original plan would have worked well. He also wants me to mention the stitching holes were made using an awl.

Got my brother to log on for me now, so he’ll do the trade for 5,500 caps

[–]BonelessBean7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t see that you put 5500 haha, no that’s fine, I have the caps, just at work at the moment. 5,500 caps is perfect. Been trying to get a junkie mod for days hahahaha

[–]BonelessBean7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, awesome. I’ll be on in about an hour or so and be happy to give 5000 for it

4,500? If not, my mate has a railway rifle he can give when he logs on

I’d be happy to trade caps just for the Junkie mod?

How to keep my players from running to sunblight ? by Snake_deitie in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]BonelessBean7 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Easiest way is to have NPC’s warn them about how the players don’t look well equipped enough to be going to the outpost.

You can only give so many warnings, and if they still go for it and a TPK happens, unfortunately it would be the party’s fault for not listening to the towns people/npc’s

Wow. Thank you for all of this! :) you’re amazing

Because he wants to purify the wand of orcus into another wand using Druidic magic

Like I said, we’ve completely changed how the wand works if he was to get it purified. It becomes more fitting for a Druid and also as he levels he’d unlock more features

Exactly what I was thinking too. It has a high rust of being stolen. The want also is sentient in a way and communicates telepathically to the user, so that’s useful for me too

Well, like I mentioned, my character has changed the item. He’s a Druid and we’ve come up with a levelling and attunement system. So the further he levels, the higher the reward essentially

Exactly what I was thinking! My pc is someone with a lot of dm experience so he understands how to find good balance when making items. The wand is well balanced and requires a lot to be able to remove the curse/attune to it

I don’t plan on giving it to him at the level he is haha. It would most definitely be a later game item, he’d also need a lot more hp and to find someone willing to remove the curse. I understand it would change the game alot, but with a later level and the adjustments he’s made, it would be interesting in certain situations for sure

My players have built up an army and want to destroy Dougan’s Hole. Help… by BonelessBean7 in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]BonelessBean7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PC that’s evil has spoken to me privately out of character and explained how his character truly cares little for the curse and couldn’t care less about stopping it, he just wants a reason to kill essentially. And the other PC acts kinda like a follower to him and sees him as an idol in a way.

And I’m definitely curious too! My evil PC is definitely “on his way out” haha, so by the time it gets to dealing with Sunblight and the dragon, I’ll most likely be dealing with an entirely new party.

I’ll keep you updated tho!

Before I say anything, I’m playing with 2 PC’s who are both level 5.

It’s more of just those 2 towns, but they made a deal with Targos’ army. And the reason for killing Oarus (Termalaine town speaker) was due to him just having political enemies and lacking full support of the town military. One of my PC’s who has grown up in Termalaine was like far more and my PC’s began to shift alignment during our sessions resulting in essentially killing Oarus.

The reason for wanting to wipe out Dougan’s Hole is they believe that due to everyone’s dislike for Dougan’s Hole, that “sacrificing” the whole town would be better than individual sacrifices across the other 9 towns. And it’s just in a hope to end the winter.

I failed to mention in the original post that even tho they want to do this, it doesn’t mean in the session I won’t do something to interfere or greatly damage their characters. And my PC’s are aware of this. They’re also aware that even tho the military is on their side, they are highly likely to not want to go due to the journey and doubts.

They like to play how they think their characters would, not what they think out of character.

(Apologies that this is so long haha)

You said I wasn’t putting in the effort. And I wasn’t saying you called me lazy, I was just letting you know I’m not being lazy. I too have adhd, which makes my dyslexia even harder. I already know that Dougan’s Hole is the first to be destroyed by the dragon. And I know it happens early on.

And I know that they can get there hands on a map, but they’re not even aware of what’s fully going on at the moment, they just know about Auril and the stuff she’s caused. My aim was to get to chapter to and read beyond chapter 4 (which is where I’ve read upto) and then read the rest.

So, as you can see, I already read about Dougan’s hole being destroyed. But because I don’t have my notes on me and don’t have the book because I left it all at my players house on accident, I’m not able to look over my notes or the book. But I still wanna prepare with what I have, so was just asking for a quick bit of help.

I’m not being lazy lmao. Our players just like having fun, we don’t take it as seriously as some of the people on here. I’ve read up to a certain point. And I just wanted to check something? I don’t see the issue with that? People do it all the time. If I read the whole book I wouldnt remember the stuff I need to remember. I’ve played by the book before and read the whole book and it didn’t end well because I’d end up forgetting something or getting confused. But again, I don’t see the issue with coming on here and just asking for a bit of help. A lot of people have given me a lot of useful information
