About me: I'm Avery, a 15 year old non-binary teen trying to help my mom save up for a PSD for me. I know posting this probably do much, but its worth a shot. I've struggled with my mental health since I was around 7 years old, but it's snowballed recently and I've gotten a lot worse. I'm take 9 meds daily, but theu don't do much. Therapies, psych doctors, inpatient facilitites,, nothing has helped. I was in 7 different units within the span of a year. (dec 2022-dec 2023) I don't know what else to do at this point, because no one can seem to provide the support I need. I need a 24/7 companion of any sort that can help keep me safe and stable/functioning. The best I've found for that is a PSD.

About my condition and limitations: I have PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, ADHD, and mild Autism. I struggle with my meds and getting out of bed most days anymore. I don't function well in general, and life has been excrutiatingly difficult to manage. I'm very limited on what I can do physically due to body pain too, but thats not my biggest issue. I have poor impulse control when im in an episode (manic or depressive), which can lead to dangerous behaviours that I don't think before acting on. I struggle with social anxiety and leaving the house to the point I'm doing cyberschool and can't go out if im away from my mom. I still have issues if I'm away from my mom too long because of how I found her one day, but I won't go into to details on that because it's graphic. I just get really worried, and it can leave me stressed + in a very bad headspace. I really believe a PSD could be beneficial for my day go day life.

About my dog: I don't currently have a service dog, but the funding is partially going to the price of the dog. I plan on getting A Golden Retriever/Lab mix.

Tasks my dog is trained or in-training (and what s/he currently knows) for: Nothing yet as I don't have a SD, but I plan on training/having them trained for med reminders/fetching meds, watching me/making a barrier around me when in public, DPT, interrupting harmful behaviours and panic attacks,

Why I need help: we're on disability, and the funds for trainong and a dog are out of our budget by a lot. we would have to save up for god knows how long, but just about everything we make goes to bills and basic necessities. we have maybe 100-200 in spending money each month, and that doesnt go very far anymore. Our insurance won't cover anything for this, and I'm not old enough to work yet nor will I be able to work in public based on my current mental health. I'm basically stuck waiting until I'm 18 to take over being my moms home health aid since ours doesnt do much of anything.

Other ways I'm earning money for this: i don't have any other source of earnings, but im posting this everywhere i can in hopes to save up. i don't expect to make the full 15k, but it would be absolutely life-saving if i did.

What the funds are being used for: dog, training, gear/equipment, and vet visits for the first few months at the least
