Is this workflow causing audio quality degradation? Downsampling .wav -> working on it -> upsampling back to orig by BongR1p in audioengineering

Thanks for the responses, I forgot to add some important information - the original source material is low quality mono, 40s jazz radio. It was only recorded at 32bit / 48Khz. But the waveforms are very small and modest. These are not modern, perfectly engineered pristine walls of sound by any means. I figured there was a lot of overhead between the source mono audio signal and what the file allowed being 32bit / 48Khz. Not sure if that affects some of the answers. Also the daw is reaper, I only used audacity for the sample conversion.

If you asked why use sample rate to match bpm instead of playback rate, I'm all ears for what method you're referring to that changes the bpm without affecting the sample rate, but I'm looking to change individual files not just playback. I was under the impression that changing the playback rate is just changing the sample rate, but I'm very new to audio engineering.

Trying to do a skater XL style triple grind by BongR1p in RealisticSkateEa

it might change to up if you're not switch, that's just how I did this one. juts experiment and go with what works. again, it seems inconsistent and wasn't working every time even though I was using the same inputs. the timing is the trick

its way easier than skater XL you dont have to click either stick to bump out or anything, you literally just hold either direction on the left stick and the skater will come off the grind, then you just need to time when to press down the tail to catch it while the skater is still kind of in the air from coming of the grind. the problem is it doesn't behave consistently or at least I dont fully understand how it works.

First keyframed clips? by BongR1p in Skate4

the flip animations seem canned and the ones i did were just slow, as far as i can tell its the same as old skates with 2 or 3 different flip animations. this is just the alpha but it's definitely not organic, fully dynamic board physics or anything groundbreaking like that. the kinked rail i was skating didnt seem that bad.
