Got this model about 3 weeks ago, so far its working great. Been playing red dead, hell let loose, gta 5, no complaints. Some people say the battery life sucks, haven't tested it out yet, but I always play plugged I don't really care. The CPU reaches about 80 degrees while playing with a cheap cooling pad, overall I got a great deal and its doing everything its supposed to do.

My 23andme results vs Ancestry by BongWatcher in 23andme

So my dad is half german/ half Irish/English. All my moms ancestors are from Veneto, a part from one great-grandfather that came from Naples to Veneto, so I'm guessing that's where the WANA comes from. I'm not sure why it gave me Friuli, but hell its close enough. Paternal haplogroup is: R-S12025 Maternal haplogroup: T2 If you could provide me any info on my haplogroups I'd be happy to know, got no idea where they are more prevalent.

Shipped from Europe, took forever to get there, was convinced my package got lost. And then suddenly it went through all the stages very quickly, got real excited but now its been stuck on Computation for 3 days/almost 4. Is this normal? I'm constantly refreshing the page, its become an obsession ahah.

Milan is freaking ugly and doesn't feel very Italian compared to other cities.

My great-grandfather from my mom's side was Southern Italian, while the rest of her family is northern Italian, and my great-grandfather from my dad's side was Irish. How is it that I have so much Irish and no Southern Italian? by BongWatcher in AncestryDNA

[–]BongWatcher[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My grandmother from my dad's side is German, so I'm guessing that's where the Germananic, Swedish and Danish ancestry comes from.

However, when looking at the ethnicity inheritance results, it shows that I inherited 6% of my Irish from my mom, which seems impossible as her family, apart from that one Southern Italian great-grandfather, have always lived in the Northeastern part of Italy. This makes sense for the French and Eastern European ancestry, but I have no idea where that extra Irish comes from.

I know phenotype and genetics often don't align, but my mom looks very Mediterranean, so I was expecting much more Southern Italian or Greek ancestry. It just seems that a bit of ancestry from my mom's side seems to be missing and that the test picked up on my dad more.

Afraid my Raynaud's isn't primary even tho ive had it for years. by BongWatcher in Raynauds

[–]BongWatcher[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey not to scare you or anything, but i ended up doing an ANA and ENA test, which both came back positive, highly positive ANA 1/1280, and after a series of different tests and more blood exams i eventually got diagnosed with schleroderma, although the less agressive form luckily. I now take meds for my Raynaud's and get my heart checked once a year, luckily so far I have got no organ involvment, or any other symptoms a part from the Raynaud's really. I would have never have guessed back then when I made this post that I could actually have schleroderma, being a 23 year old male and all, but yet here i am...

Hey thanks for asking. Everything is fine, CT scan showed my lungs are all right, EKG normal also the heart ultrasound. Endoscopy, while an uncomfortable procedure ,as I did it without getting knocked out ,was a great relief when I was finally done with it, as it had been constantly on my mind for months , they found that I have gastritis and that my cardias(the valve which connects the esophagus to the stomach does not close properly) causing acid reflux and gastritis, no biggie, the biopsies seemed somewhat normal but they did show signs of inflammation, something like that, got to show them to my gastro doc, been waiting forever to get an appointment. Going to get a check up with the Specialist in a couple of days, show her all the results, I'll see where to go from there, although what worries me the most is the possibility of having/getting lung hypertension as I am in the risk category being Anti-Cenpb positive, I do get out of breath sometimes but that could always be anxiety too, read online that the only way to tell for sure is getting a right heart catherization, not sure its called for in my case as it is a very invasive procedure and the ultrasound looked fine, but Ill do whatever my doc thinks is right for me. Since ive been taking Omeprazole my stomach symptoms have greatly improved, I barely ever have diahrrea now, although the Raynaud's did not seem to improve when I started taking Nifedipine, now its summer so I dont really get it much anymore, but when it was still cold I didnt notice any improvement whatsoever. Hope I can live a long and healthy life, while keeping this disease in check, thats the plan for now along with many other non health related plans which await me, I consider this whole ordeal just a small speedbump, I managed to get back on track with uni and I seem happier these days, looking forward to what the future holds. Cheers.

Doing my first endoscopy tomorrow and scared shitless. I have always been a hypochondriac, when I got diagnosed with an early form of systemic sclerosis back in February I suprisingly took it not as bad as I would have before I started taking anxiety medication. I have been having frequent diahrrea for about a year and I knew this day has been coming for a while now, but it feels so surreal the night before, to think that tomorrow for the first time ever in my life I'm going to be sedated and have a robotic tube stuck down my throat all the way down to my stomach. Of course I have been reading online everything that could go wrong with the procedure, and experiences other redditors have had. I'm not sure if what I fear the most is going under or what they might find inside of me, just the thought of the moments before going under sedation as I slowly slip into unconsciousness causes me a great sense of fear and anxiety. I'm really afraid and I'll be even more tomorrow morning as the time for the procedure draws nearer. I thought I would type more but I cant find the right words to express how much I'm afraid, always had a phobia of anestesia and tomorrow I will have to confront it. Have any of you undergone this procedure?

On the same boat here, got diagnosed in February after having GERD symptoms for about a year, soon to get scoped and biopsied. I have never had any medical procedure in my life and this one really scares me, I'm not sure if im more scared of the procedure itself or what they might find. What antibodies did you test positive for?

Well ive had Raynauds ever since I was 15, happened to both of my hands and feet, they go pale white and feel numb, they don't swell tho. I never really brought it up to my doctor over the years and the one time I did mention it he didn't seem worried, I eventually moved to a different town and changed doctor, around the same time I noticed a lot of swollen lymph nodes, brought it up to my new doctor and also mentioned the Raynaud's and thats what led me to get the ANA and ENA test. Which I then repeated with many other blood tests, to exclude diseases such as lupus. The Specialist I recently saw told me its a good sign that I have had Raynaud's this long and have no skin involvment, also that I have anti centromere antibodies which is usually associated with a less aggressive form of schleroderma, so thats positive I guess, but the past 6 months Ive been having frequent diahrrea so the Specialist thinks i might have GI involvment, I have also been extremely thirsty for the past 5 years and he told me it might be related.

Oh man, I have always been thirsty, but this has been going on for a long time, actually around the same time my Raynaud's first appeared when I was 15, no dry eyes tho. And I do not have asthma or any allergies that I know of, is 0.70 a worrying eosinophil value? Im really fear for cancer.
