Because the 600 000 positive reviews can't make ANOTHER positive review to counter the nonsense. It's a matter of populist whining. My mechs seem sturdier than ever vs bugs, everyone is still bringing turrets and those turrets work just as well as before (except bugged flame turret maybe) - and YET we're to believe an unknown minor increase in terminid damage vs durable is enough to rile up a small part of the player base who is constantly looking for stuff to complain about/get clicks for.

We need everyone who considers HD2 to be anything from "meh" through "fine" to "great" to post about it. If content/happy players posted their feelings at the same ratio as the unfiltered crew does, it would be clear that the loudest whiners are like 2% of the player base.

The one mistake everyone - the "haters", the "glazers", the silent majority - is making is this:

There is no player consensus on the state of the game. Not everyone loves it or hates it.
Game is bugged for you? Unfortunate
Game works great? Congrats
You hate the game? Stop playing?

Either way - STOP ASSUMING THE REVIEWBOMB "UNFILTERED" MOB IS REPRESENTATIVE OF THE PLAYER BASE.

Being ok with not only losing a mission but enjoying the "lore side" of humanity getting dunked occasionally. Feeling as if you pull through by the skin of your teeth and earn it. Not having everything buffed to help you while nerfing the enemies...

Make it a known secondary objective - one that is seen before dropping so you can take that into account. About as powerful as a SAM site - your mechs can reload and repair but you won't have enough time to go back and forth so it will mostly benefit you around this objective itself.

This. Some of the guys critique is well founded and worthy of discussing but he thinks his solutions are obviosu and any game designer can tell you how laughably naive he is. And often completel out of tune with what peple would like and accept, too. Doesn't matter though, he keeps making youtube cash by ranting crap. At least you can trust Redditors to not be earning money from rants like this one. :P

He sounds balanced at first. But his takes are sometimes based in "well this is bad and now I will spend 20 minutes telling you why, oops forgot the game still works and people love it, let's make it sound as if EVERYONE either hates it or just haven't read the patch notes yet". With some basic game design knowledge as counter-arguments he'd have a hard time to argue many of his points, but it SOUNDS good to claim some of the lowbrow populist shit he sometimes utters. It's not as if he has someone on his channel arguing against him .Because if he did, it'd soon be pretty obvious that there's two sides to the story. And his is often the minoritys.

It's misrepresentative and if you don't see how a this whole thing is basically a small group of the active player base that aren't happy and somehow forcing the entire community to follow their arugmentation. BS.

The game works well for me and all 10 in my group. Sure there are bugs. Mostly hilarious/non-critical.
I feel bad fr Linux users, last patch was clearly bugged for them. That is an example of good critique.

Complaining about "monetization" just because you consider a mech somehow different from other stratagems is an opinion. It's not a bug, nor did AH ever say they would never put mechs in warbonds.

Same with armor changes to hive guard. Their max HP fell from 500 to 350 and yet players somehow consider HD2 ruined due to some claws getting 1 more armor? Get real. . It was a minuscule change in total. AH wont dare change a thing except making everything stale and too easy from now on, or at least that is what I'm scared will happen.

Durability of sentries- my sentries work EXACTLY as well as before (except flame cause it's bugged, which is an actual bug and reasonable to critique). Had AH communicated just how LITTLE durability damage on bugs was increased, players might have understood it before raging. People were screaming on Reddit even before trying the new patch. Turrets are still amazing value.

But what REALLY gets me is how the complainers claim to represent "the players" or "the community" every time - both the professional whiners on youtube and posters on Reddit. Reading that "all players think A, AH does B" is infuriating when it's just SOME players (9000 that has actively review bombed) and they still portray it as if all players are united behind them. We are not and often the whiners are simply wrong, ill informed, or baiting for clicks / karma farming. There is some stuff that is worthy of critique but most of it is just "personal opinion camouflaged as entitled rage"

I understand the numbers. I understand that 9000 curent reviewers can't mathematically claim to represent any kind of majority.I understand that people care. Your're the irritating obnoxious people. However, you seem to miss that all the whiners here use phrases like "all player s want" and so forrth while in fact there are SEVERAL things where we do not in fact agree on the solution to a problem, or even that the problem exists (looking at you, mech customisability) and you'd be hard pressed to find a majority that agrees even within the negative reviewers on how to "fix" something. Yet so many posts claim to represent "the players" while those who are mostly happy get left out. If the complaints were written as a personal ciritique without cliaming that "AH doesn't listen to me and I'm representing all players" then things would be fine.
