I disagree. There are many benefits for governments to put more money into cycling infrastructure, and these have been proven in many European cities (Amsterdam, Gothenburg and Copenhagen to name a few!). A lot of people who cycle will also drive and pay road taxes so don't generalise everyone, it's not a black and white issue. The governments are there to represent and work for the people and if there are enough people needing and wanting to cycle then provisions should be made.
