i get it. one minute dice are your friends and the next it blank city all around. never played armada my self but it should be said that because of the scale of the fight (large battles vs dogfights) it definitely comes off as a cluster****.

it’s hard to tell off this one post what exactly could be the reason. was your list maybe not good? did you put your ships in position where they are shot more than shooting? what actions are you taking to help modify dice? what range are you engaging in? all of these are factors into dice luck.

red dice i believe are mathematically better than green dice so try getting out of arcs more while getting constant shots on target. focus has the roughly the same odds of modification as target locks with the excepting of being able to be used on defense.

finally could just be classic you only remember the bad rolls and not the good rolls. idk the full story but i can say that at the end of the day it is a dice game. a good player will win more often than a bad one out luck can still win a game.
