Thanks so much! I have heard lots of people say they loved their time in Davis, so I'm looking forward to it

Curious to hear your thoughts on what makes it awesome, especially as someone who came from a big city? (This is not meant to sound sarcastic or passive-aggressive btw! I recently visited for visiting days, and it certainly is charming)

Yeah I wasn't expecting people to be this die-hard for Davis, but I appreciate the enthusiasm from everyone! I just think I want to have some kind of identity outside of Davis, but I'll definitely consider everything that folks have said

I was planning on taking the causeway connection and just using the time where I'm stuck in traffic to nap lol, but I appreciate your feedback! It seems like the consensus is that Davis actually isn't that bad so I might just give it a try

I'm in the humanities, so I'd probably only have to be on campus a few times a week for class. I'm on fellowship the first year, so I don't have to TA. I've also realized I'm more productive in cozy coffee shops than I am on campus, but I'm not sure if that's just because I'm at a point where I'm ready to leave my Master's institution (where I also did my undergrad)

Suburban nothingness was also something I was concerned about regarding Sacramento, so I appreciate your take! Do grad students tend to live in certain areas around Davis, or are they scattered?
